Office Floor Plan Suggestions

The floor-plan must be able to support future growth of headcounts

It should help us project a professional image to large clients, who may use office design as a visual cue to gauge an agency’s market position and expertise in digital marketing space

I suggest that we include the following functions in our new floor plan:

2 Walled Huddle Rooms - For internal meetings, deliverable reviews, brainstorms, and job interviews 1 Client Reception Area - Hose clients when the conference room is occupied 1 Reception Desk - Handle client visits and daily office admin tasks 1 Lunch Break Room - To foster team building and keep the work area clean

If budget is an issue, we don’t have to build out all areas at once, but the floor plan should be forward-looking enough to avoid reconfigurations at a later stage

Move the fridge out to other places

This windowless room can be used as File Room

Printers should be moved out of the path of trafficThis configuration simply

adds two more cubes to our current grid

New Office Layout B – 14 Persons (Shared Smaller Cube)

Move the fridge out

This configuration is more conducive to collaboration

It is also more space-efficient, giving us the possibility to house 12 persons without feeling crowded

This configuration mixes stand-alone workstation with collaborative seating

It also comes with more characters

Production teams that need close interaction can use shared cubes

Managers who are always on the phone should use single cubes

This is an alternative layout

It allows for a shorter path from Brandon’s office to any work-station in the room

Central Area New Layout A – 9 Persons (Shared Smaller Cube)

File Cabinets

Removing file cabinets and water dispenser from this area will give us more room to work with

A dedicated reception desk looks more professional than a “dual-purpose” cube

Once we move the file cabinets out of the way, we can create shared workspaces for small teams

This area can seat up to 8 persons plus 1 receptionist / office admin

Central Area New Layout B – 2 Huddle Rooms + Lunch Break Room

A dedicated reception desk looks more professional than a “dual-purpose” cube we have

This design uses the central area for 2 huddle rooms + 1 lunch break room.

A lunch break room is highly recommended, as it gives people a place to socialize, chat with peers and managers, and develop a sense of belonging. Besides, it keeps the workstations and conference room clean and odorless

Central Area New Layout C – Reception + Huddle Room + Lunch Room

This design replaces 1 huddle room with a customer reception area.

Because there is only 1 huddle room here, we need another huddle room somewhere else.

Media Room Option A => 2 Huddle Rooms + 1 Lunch Room

The first option is to use the media room (instead of the central area) as huddle rooms and lunch break room

This means the paid search and media team have to move to central area, which currently gets no direct sunlight and has a low ceiling, which is depressing.

Page 13: Office Layout Suggestions_dave

Media Room Option B=> 3 Cubes + 2 Huddle Rooms

In this layout, the media room will have 3 cubes and 2 huddle rooms. As it has only 3 cubes, only a small team can stay there, and some team members may feel isolated from the larger team elsewhere

Page 14: Office Layout Suggestions_dave

Media Room Option C=> 5 Cubes + 1 Huddle Room

In this layout, the media room can house a 5-person team (e.g. SEM) plus one huddle room.

However, one huddle room is not enough for the whole company, so another huddle room needs to be created in other places.

Media Room Option D=> 7 Cubes

In this layout, the media room can house a 5-person team (e.g. SEM) plus one huddle room.

However, one huddle room is not enough for the whole company, so another huddle room needs to be created in other places.

Alan’s office can be used either as a new office or a client reception room
