“What so ever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me.” Matthew 25:40
First, giving honor to God who is the Giver of all good things: to Right Worshipful Brother Aubrey K.
Barlow Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Roland G. Simon Grand Senior Warden, Right
Worshipful Brother Steven R. Coleman Grand Junior Warden, Past Grand masters, All Elected and
Appointed Grand Lodge Officers, Past Masters, Worshipful Masters, Wardens and Brethren,
Fraternal Greetings,
Thank you to all who came out in support of the Thanksgiving Day “Feed the Needy” Programs in the
various Masonic Districts. This has long been a staple of the public service offered by the Grand Lodge
and it would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the members that come together to
make it happen. As we enter into the holiday season let us continue to be mindful of all life’s blessings
and continue to remain in service to others with care and compassion.
To assist with our charitable endeavors I am initiating a “Century Club.” I am asking 100 members to
donate $100. This will provide $10,000 to be donated annually to various Charities without depleting
Grand Lodge funds. Participation is totally voluntary and full accountability reports will be given semi-
annually. Checks (cash and money orders acceptable too) should be made payable to the MWPHGL
Century Club. You may join the Century Club with installments as well. I ask for your assistance as we
attempt to improve our image through public giving while providing assistance to deserving community
entities.
I thank all the Brothers, who on short notice, were able to attend the funeral service, in the Character of
Masons, of Tyshawn Michael Lee, the 9 year old who was executed in a Chicago alley. As violence
continue to escalate WE MUST TAKE A STANCE. We must continue to develop programs and
implement strategies that will allow us to be proactive, rather than reactive. To that end the Committee on
Community Involvement which encompasses the Mentoring, Youth Basketball and Community Activities
Programs are in dire need of input and assistance. Any member interested in working with this much
needed Committee please contact the Deputy Grand Master RW Brother Aubrey K. Barlow. His contact
information is on the left border.

Please join me in welcoming the newest members of the Prince Hall Family, New Jerusalem Lodge UD.
By the time many of you read this the Healing Ceremony will have taken place on December 5th. This new

community projects. It is my belief that they will be a welcomed addition to our Brand. As you may see
much of them in the coming months, I ask that we make them feel at home as they are a new part of us.
Public Installations will take place at the following locations and times:
1st District: Grant Memorial AME Church 2nd District: Mount Zion Baptist Church

Mason of the Year
of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Illinois
The calls to service and charity are two of the major ideals that are acted upon by the Officers and Members of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Illinois and its subordinate Lodges. Masons serve in multiple capacities in various locations across the State of Illinois. With a presence in each quadrant of the state, acts of charity and other services are performed to make the communities in which Masons live and those communities that Masons serve better places for all.
Finances are a major portion of the efforts as funds help to determine the ability of our organization to introduce proactive solutions or to react in a large way. As such, Most Worshipful Brother Dwayne A. Smith, Grand Master of Illinois Prince Hall Masons, is looking for CENTURIONS FOR SERVICE. Join the Century Club with your donation of $100.00 and help the Grand Lodge perform more charitable works. You may do so through one of the following methods:
1. Make your payment electronically via PayPal on the Grand Lodge website at www.mwphglil.com. Click the “Buy Now” button on the Century Club page:
2. Mail your check or money order made payable to "MWPHGL of ILLINOIS" to:
o MWPHGL of IL o Attn: CENTURY CLUB o 809 East 42nd Place o Chicago, Illinois 60653
You will receive a certificate of membership into the Grand Master's Century Club within 30 days of your donation.
Thank you in advance for your donation and participation.
