The provisionally selected candidates have to take admission by making payment during 26-31

August, 2021 via online mode, subject to submission of the undertaking in the prescribed format (as

appended). They also have to submit the scanned copies of the original documents (mark/grade

sheets from 10th through PG exams in chronological order, GATE/NET score card, Caste Certificate

(If applicable), Release Order (If applicable) etc.). All these documents along with payment receipt

and the scanned copy of the signed undertaking have to be merged into a single pdf file and send by

email to phd_admission@nits.ac.in, with a copy to admit_phd@nits.ac.in. The subject of the email has to be “Submission of Documents for Application id (Mention your application id) under

Group-A”.

The candidate whose final result is awaited are also allowed to take admission provisionally, subject

to submission of final mark/grade card (fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria) and pass

certificate on or before 15th September, 2021, failing which the admission shall be treated cancelled

automatically.

Steps for online payment:

1. Visit www.onlinesbi.com. 2. Select SB Collect. 3. Click the checkbox and Proceed for payment. 4. Select the State of Corporate / Institution as “Assam”. 5. Select Type of Corporate / Institution as “Educational Institutions”. 6. Select Educational Institutions Name as “ONLINE FEE COLLECTION ACCOUNT NIT SILCHAR” (for

payment of admission fees) and Submit. 7. Select Payment Category from the drop down menu as “PhD Admission July to Dec 2021” and fill

the required field and submit. 8. The online generated fee slip must be kept for future reference.
