To help the schools for proper implementation of CCE.

2. Measures taken by you to give appropriate guidance to the schools about CCE

The In-charge Teacher of CCE as well as few senior teachers of the schools were appraised of the guidelines of CBSE towards implementation of CCE. Their queries on formative and summative assessments designing of question papers, documentation of evidences of assessments etc. were duly explained to them.

3. Your experience of guiding schools about CCE

Guiding schools about CCE always kept us updated on circulars received from CBSE

4. Difficulties faced in discharging your duty as a mentor

Besides one school, the other three schools assigned to me were located far off. It was not possible to cover all three schools at a time for which there was no such guideline in the appointment letter received from CBSE. Further, the gesture of some schools was not found to be co-operative immediately after first visit for mentoring and monitoring.

5. Are you currently an active mentor? If not, give reasons for the same

Finding less co-operation of few schools on second round of mentoring visiting the assigned schools was discontinued.

6. Would you like to continue with the same schools that you have been mentoring or with a separate set of schools? Give reasons for the same

Continuing with the same set of schools that we have been mentoring will always be enjoyable if these schools are instructed by the CBSE to extend full co-operation. However, the nearby schools will be preferred.

7. Usefulness of the Mentoring and Monitoring process

Mentoring and Monitoring has always helped both mentor and mentee in updating upon changes brought about by CBSE towards CCE.

8. Suggestions to improve the process of Mentoring and Monitoring

i. The schools should extend fullest co-operation with the mentor and the accompanying teacher(s) during the visit.

ii. Mentoring and Monitoring should be taken in write spirit by both mentor and mentee.

iii. There should be adequate training programmes for the mentors from time to time.

iv. Mentors should be assigned with nearby schools so that there is a continuous interaction in between mentor and mentee schools not just limited to summative I and II terms in an academic session.
