The Expat Centers in the Netherlands are a one-stop-shop for international employees living and working in the Netherlands. The Expat Centers support international companies, their international employees, and self-employed persons by offering a fast and easy procedure for Government formalities and provide information on the Netherlands.
Our main goal is to make you feel at home!At the Expat Centers, international employees can complete the formal procedures required for settling in the Netherlands, including the Municipal Basic Administration and residence documents. The Expat Centers also provide localised regional information and organize events for the international community. Services provided by the various Expat Centers may vary, so please check the relevant website for the Expat Center in your region for more information. The Expat Centers are a joint initiative of the Government, Municipalities and the Immigration and Naturalisation Services (IND).The Expat Centers are located in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, Tilburg, Maastricht, Hengelo, Wageningen, Utrecht, and Groningen.

EventsThe Expat Centers organize events for expats in their region. These events give expats an opportunity to meet each other, and to get important information on expat-related topics.
The Expat Center ProcedureThe advantage of the Expat Centers is the special admission procedure for international employees. In order to make use of the Expat Center Procedure, international employees or the company they work for, must be located in one of the participating municipalities.
Via the Expat Centers, companies can submit the application for the official procedure while the employee is still in his or her country. This allows employees (and their family members) to complete several important formalities in a single visit to the Expat Center. At the Expat Center the international employee is able to arrange the registration with the IND and simultaneously complete the necessary municipal registration.
