The Ozaukee Glass, official Newsletter of the Ozaukee Corvette Club, is produced monthly and provided to all members, advertisers and other car clubs. Ozaukee Corvette Club Meeting Minutes - October 21, 2012

Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by President Darryl Greene at 6:00 p.m. at the Flipside Restaurant in Grafton. There were 9 members in attendance.

Secretary’s Report: Sue Montana-Meyers was not present and minutes were unread from the September meeting by member agreement.

V-President’s Report: Sue Giese passed out notices and newsletters from other area clubs.

Treasurer’s Report: Jim Baker was out but Darryl went over the treasurers report and updated the club with the current balance.

Advertising: Sue Montana-Meyers was not present and Darryl Greene brought us up to date.

Membership: Ron Giese will call members who have not yet renewed.

NCCC: Wayne Richter suggested that OCC members get involved in next year’s autocross event. Details will be forthcoming

50/50 Drawing was not held due to lack of tickets.

Newsletter: there was a discussion regarding classifieds containing materials for sale by non-members. It was voted-upon and agreed that Corvette-related materials may be advertised as long as the individual is a friend of a club member.

Website: Darryl Greene stated the web site is current and suggested that members check the Whats-New page regularly for event and content updates.

Old Business

The October 6th Round Robin was a great success. Thanks to Jeff & Sue and Jay & Peg for hosting!

The September 30th fall cruise had about 60 vettes with 19 from our club. Everyone had a great time and the brunch at the Five Pillars was wonderful!

Margaret updated the Chili Cookoff which will be February 24th at the Delafield Brewhaus 3832 Hillside Dr, Delafield. Registration will begin at 3:00 with tasting and voting at 4:00. Margaret asked that members bring at least one dish representing chili, salsa and a chocolate dessert. Further details will be forthcoming.

New Business

The C7 debut has been announced by the Chevrolet Launch Team to be at the Detroit Auto Show on January 13, 2013. The new C7 logo was passed around to members.

Corvette desk calendar: members were shown a calendar available for 60% off to club members. Check with Darryl Greene if you are interested.

Nominations were held for club officers, VP being an open position this year. Thank you, Sue Giese, for your work this year on behalf of the club! Ron Giese was nominated for VP by Margaret Greene and seconded by Ray Schunk. There were no other nominations for board members willing to serve in the coming year.

Motion for adjournment was made by Tom Hansen and seconded by Sue Giese at 6: 54 p.m.

The next meeting will be November 18th 5:00 pm at the Flipside.

Corvette of the MonthBarb and Ray’s 2003 Anniverary Coupe.

Barb and I love our 2003 50th anniversary corvette. The vette was stored for 7 years. and is like new. It is a Spiral Gray Metallic color. Prior cars I've owned are a 69 Corvette,a 72 Nova,stroker 383 and an '83 Camaro Z28-454. Barb and I plan on using our car for many years and many miles. We are looking forward to lots of good times in the future and meeting new people and making new friends. Ray and Barb Schunk
