We really appreciate all your comments and ideas regarding our club and thank you to all of you who have taken the opportunity to renew or upgrade your membership – we wish you all many more happy puzzling times. JIG’S CORNERWell, I can’t believe Christmas is nearly here, and Mark and Juliet are keeping me very busy in the warehouse getting the orders ready to send. And it’s very cold in that warehouse…!

Firstly an apology for a misprint in last month’s newsletter. We printed that we had Portapuzzles available in 1000 and 2000 piece. Unfortunately they are available to hold 1000 or 1500 piece puzzles. We do however have the ‘Puzzle Snugg’ available which can hold puzzles up to 2000 pieces should anyone wish a larger sized puzzle mat.

Thank you for the many positive responses to the Schmidt puzzles and I’m excited that there are some new ones this month – they look really lovely too. I can’t wait to do one of them myself when I get some time o� ! If you have not tried one of these great puzzles yet why not give one a go. You will not be disappointed.

Finally, I hope Santa is good to you all this Christmas. I’ve a big selection of puzzles on my Christmas list and I’m de� nitely putting one of those jig tables on it to save me from an aching back.

A new manufacturer for me and will certainly be happy to buy their products again. Just about everything says ‘quality’ - the box, the image, the singing colours, the crisp-to-lock pieces, holding together nicely enough to allow some movement - all with the absolute minimum of ‘dust’ and barely a sign of ragged under-layers.

Just about everything? Well, it is a little disappointing that a manufacturer with such high standards does not send the pieces in a re-sealable bag. It’s a minor detail / irritant but maybe someone could mention it to them.Pat McDonald, Sunderland via email
