CHILDREN'S SAFETY DAY

The Timberville Police Department, Timberville Vol. Fire Department, Harrisonburg Fire Department, and Woodstock Pool joined Walmart in their first Children's Safety Day. At the event, children had the opportunity to learn about bike safety from the Timberville Police Department, fire safety from the Timberville Vol. Fire Department, and swimming safety from the Woodstock Pool. The Harrisonburg Fire Department also did car seat safety checks for parents with young children. Children also had the opportunity to have their face painted and try some delicious cupcakes and treats inside of Walmart. A surprise visitor also joined the festivities and handed out candy to children. Thank you to everyone who joined us at Children's Safety Day. Pictures of the event can be found on the Town's Facebook Page.

Meet Dr. Alan Robbins, the owner of Dr. Alan D. Robbins Family Dentistry! Dr. Robbins started his career working as a dental officer in the Army. Afterwards, he started working under Dr. Malcolm Harrell, who owned the practice then. He took over the practice in the fall of 1988. So why did Dr. Alan want to be a dentist? He said he has always enjoyed the sciences, which is why he majored in biology. He later became interested in health care, and so being a dentist just fit all his interests.
