Offshore Pipelines and Subsea Systems
DURATION -5 Days
DESIGNED FOR
This course on Offshore Pipelines & Subsea Systems is designed for the technical staff, businessprofessionals, analysts and other non technical staffs who are involved with offshore oil and gas
production facilities but have limited experience on it. The purpose of the course is to provide enhancedtraining on Offshore Pipelines & Subsea Systems including concept development, design, construction, operation and abandonment using the Orcinas OrcaFlex & OrcaLay softwares.
YOU WILL LEARN
Understand subsea engineering for field development Recognize the Subsea production system current options Overview of subsea options for shallow and deep waters Identify key factors guiding/ dictating the architecture design Understand the significance of FPSO position from the wells distance optimisation Typical subsea project phases and design phases Understand the key steps for Drilling riser and mooring system design Typical subsea well drilling and completion sequence Understand key Subsea X-mas tree functions Understand the importance of analysis required for single point mooring system design Overview of templates , manifolds & subsea hardware Calculating concrete coating thickness required for on bottom stability of subsea pipelines &
risers.
Pipe lay & recovery techniques for subsea pipelines & risers using OrcaLay software Selection of production & injection risers systems for floaters & fixed platforms Different flexible riser configurations selection for field development depending on water depth
and the crude oil density
Design, computer simulation and model testing of subsea flexible using OrcaFlex.
ABOUT THE COURSE AND TRAINER
The challenges to subsea production in the future are considerable, with solutions required to the
economical extraction of oil and gas from ever deeper waters in remote locations. This five days training
program on Offshore Pipelines & Subsea Systems will provide individuals enhanced training on subsea
field development in all water depths, from relatively shallow to ultra deepwater. The participants will
learn all aspects of subsea & pipeline engineering including the different design stages involved and key
factor affecting the field development. The course emphasizes on the use of OrcaFlex & OrcaLay
softwares for the Static & dynamic analysis of subsea systems and pipelines. Course instructors are
overseas postgraduate engineers with number of years experience in offshore industry.
