Raise attainment so that it is well above average and increase the rate of progress across all subjects, particularly English, by:

Sharing the most effective practice in the school so that more of the teaching is outstanding

Planning more opportunities for pupils to work independently, use their initiative and develop their problem-solving and thinking skills

Current School Improvement Priorities

Achievement: Raise expectation and challenge for the more able pupilsRaise attainment in reading by the end of KS1Teaching and Learning:Further improve the quality of teaching so that ALL pupils routinely

experience outstanding teaching and learning leading to high levels of progress and attainment both during each lesson and over time (Observed teaching 100% good with a minimum 70% Outstanding)

Developing emphasis on challenge for the more able (focus on those children able to achieve higher than NE levels in all year groups)

On-going curriculum development – inspirational thematic studies, TASC wheel & Blooms Taxomomy, active learning methods

Further Peer coaching and mentoring in classes to embed good and outstanding practice (at home and abroad)

Current School Improvement Priorities

Behaviour & Safety: Develop pupils personal responsibility and independence by

enabling them to assess and manage risk appropriately and keep themselves safe (e.g. e-safety, stranger danger, road safety, TWITA, etc)

Further raise pupils attendance (Target 97%+) and punctuality at the school

Leading and Managing:Further develop senior leadership and management team knowledge

and skills related to strategic and operational aspects of the roleDevelop effectiveness and influence of ALL curriculum leadersFurther develop support staff team in their role as leaders of

learningContinue to embed the Christian values which underpin all

aspects of the ethos and actions of the school
