Foreword

Performing network optimization on a regularbasis is the best approach to improving thequality of network service after completingdeployment and capacity expansion. The ANTdrive test device is used to collect and provide thedata of network parameter resources for networkoptimization engineering. Engineers analyze thedata by using ANT to troubleshoot existing

network problems and adjust system to improvethe overall quality of network. Therefore, properlyusing ANT is the basis of performing thesubsequent operations.

The MS always fails to connect to the test system.

This fault may be caused by many conditions.

To locate the fault, proceed as follows: To check whether ports are configured correctly, search the numbers ofserial ports in the equipment manager.Check whether the MS is not in DATA mode, but in TRACE (OT76)mode or TRACE 9600 (OT75) mode.

If the system can activate the MS, but the MS fails to access network,the test cable of the MS may be faulty.

The GPS always fails to connect to the system.To locate this fault, proceed as follows:

Check whether the GPS is in NEMA mode or in NEMA 4800 mode.Check whether the GPS is not in analog mode.

There are red or green bars on the top of the ANTPILOT window. Does thismean that the system has interference?This only prompts that there are the same frequency signals as that of theprimary cell or the neighboring frequency signals to the primary cell.

In theory, three points not in a line can confirm a plane. Thus,you need only three points to perform match. To ensure theprecision of e-map, choose at least five points. Adjust theposition of each point to ensure the error range of each point

does not exceed 3 pixels.Select track crossing points in the drive test file.

After completing match, view the drive test track to comparethe actual test track and route shown on the map. Use the

actual test track as the layer of street.

Step 3: Adjusting Error





The MAPINFO is a hierarchy-management geographic-applicationsoftware. You can open different layers based on requirements ofdifferent tasks. After performing match for a scan figure, you needto process different layers, such as streets, buildings, mountains,rivers, BTSs, cells, and regions shown on the figure. You also

need to save them to a individual file. A complete e-map iscomposed of different layers.

Every layers should be executed manually. If you want to describestreets, use line-type tool to draw. If you want to describe rivers

and mountains, use opaque region-execution tool to draw.To facilitate the operation, you can use the matched map as e-map.

Step 4: Geographic Hierarchy





Choose a segment of test data to check the general field strength,average field strength, and signal fluctuation.
