Preparation: There is no preparation necessary. The resin surface comes ready to paint. Any slight imperfec-tions can be lightly sanded. Wipe with a Tack Cloth.

Painting Instructions:Sandstone Background and Stone Base:Base the sandstone background and stone ground with Moon Yellow, shade by washing Honey

Brown into the shaded areas, thin Honey Brown down to a transparent consistency and wash over the fl at area of the walls. Dry brush high-light with Light Buttermilk and deepen the high-lighted areas with Splendid Gold. Deepen the shaded areas with Milk Chocolate and thin Napa Red down to a transparent consistency and wash into the shaded areas and mop to soften. Dry brush Napa Red lightly over the tops of the bricks on the top of each column and base the brown wood supports under the bricks on the columns with Milk Chocolate. Base the red roof and bricks with Tuscan Red and dry brush shade with Napa Red, dry brush highlight with Light Buttermilk and deepen with Splendid Gold. Base inside the rounded window and the hole in the wall with Navy Blue and lightly dry brush Blue Violet over the areas. Thin Snow White down to a transparent consistency and splatter over the blue areas masking off the sandstone wall.

Blue Background:Base the arch behind the Holy Family with Navy Blue, dry brush Blue Violet randomly over the piece. Dry brush Indian Turquoise onto the fronts of the pillars and the rounded knobs on the front, middle, and back of the arch and dry brush Splendid Gold to deepen the previous ap-plication. Mask off the outer section of the arch, thin Snow White down to a very thin application and splatter onto the inner center of the arch to mimic the look of stars in the sky. Base the star on top of the arch with Moon Yellow, fl oat shade with Honey Brown and dry brush Dazzling Metallics Splendid Gold over the star. Paint the ground area as described in the instructions above.

Face, Hands, And Hair:Base all the faces and hands with Hi-Lite Flesh, shade with Shading Flesh. Deepen the shaded areas with Burnt Sienna; wash Shading Flesh into the mouth area and using a SL line Burnt Sienna into the mouth. Dry Brush highlight Hi-Lite Flesh onto the hands and face, under the eyes, on the nose, and on the chin. Dry Brush using a circular motion Melon onto the cheeks and dry brush Electric Pink to deepen. Base the

eyes with with Lamp Black, dip dot the highlight in the eye with Snow White. Base the Kings, Joseph, and the Shepherd boy’s hair with Burnt Sienna, shade with a light wash of Napa Red, and drybrush highlight with Shad-ing Flesh.Base Mary’s hair with Moon Yellow and shade with Honey Brown.Line the eyebrows with Burnt Sienna.

Lamb:Base the lamb with Lamp Black and dry brush Snow White over the wooly parts, the hooves,and the ears. Base the face with Hi-Lite Flesh, shade with Shading Flesh, base the nose withLamp Black, the eyes with Snow White and dip dot the eyes with Lamp Black.

Kings:King holding the treasure box: Base the hat with Indian Turquoise, shade with Blue Violet, and dry brush highlight with Snow White. Base the crown, stripes on the hat, and fl ower on the hat with Moon Yellow, and wash Splendid Gold over the Moon Yellow. Dip dot the center of the fl ower with Tuscan Red and the knob at the top of the crown. Base the gown and scarf with Lavender and shade with Blue Violet. Base the cloak with Tuscan Red and shade with Napa Red. Dry brush highlight the scarf, cloak, and gown with Electric Pink, and deepen the high-light on the gown and scarf with a light dry brush application of Indian Turquoise. Dip dot the cloak with Lavender and dot a smaller dot in the center with Indian Turquoise. Base the shoe with Indian Turquoise and dry brush highlight with Snow White. King Holding the Lamp: Base the crown with Moon Yellow and wash Splendid Gold over the crown, dip dot the crown with Napa Red. Base the scarf over the head with Tuscan Red, shade with Napa Red and dry brush highlight with Splendid Gold. Base the gown with Indian Tur-quoise, shade with Blue Violet, and dry brush highlight with Snow White. Base the cloak with Olive Green, shade with Hauser Dark Green, and dry brush highlight with Bright Yellow. Base the button on the cloak and the stripes on the gown with Tuscan Red. Base the shoe with Lavender and dry brush with Indian Turquoise. Base the

Lamp with Moon Yellow and wash Splendid Gold over it, line the stripe on the side and the knob on the top with Tuscan Red. King holding the Urn: Base the stripes on the hat with Olive Green, the areas between the stripes with Lavender and dry brush highlight with Indian Turquoise making sure to dry brush over the dots on the hat. Base the top of the hat and scarf with Indian Turquoise, shade with Blue Violet and dry brush highlight with Snow White. Base the gown with Olive Green, shade with Hauser Dark Green, highlight with Bright Yellow and dip dot with Indian Turquoise and a smaller dot of Lavender. Base the shawl and shoe with Lavender, shade with Blue Violet and dry brush highlight with Indian Turquoise. Base the crown and urn with Moon Yellow and wash Splendid Gold over the area, base the dots on the detail around the lid with Tuscan Red and the knob on the lid with Tuscan Red.

Mary, Joseph, and Shepherd Boy: Mary: Base Mary’s scarf and shoe with a mix of Indian Turquoise and Snow White, mix it ap-proximately a 50/50 blend or to a value that you prefer, thin Blue Violet down to a transparent consistency and wash into the shaded areas of the scarf and dry brush highlight with Snow White and deepen with a dry brush of Electric Pink. Base Mary’s dress with Electric Pink; mix a small amount of Tuscan Red into the Electric Pink to mix a slightly deeper value to shade her dress. Mix small amounts until you achieve a value that you are happy with and shade with this mix. Dry brush highlight Mary’s dress with Snow White. Joseph: Joseph’s head scarf and cloak will re-main the color of the resin and dry brush shade with Shading Flesh and deepen with Burnt Sien-na, dry brush highlight with Splendid Gold and deepen with Snow White. Base the band around the head scarf with Moon Yellow and wash Splendid Gold over it. Base Joseph’s gown with Tuscan Red, shade with Napa Red, dry brush highlight with Splendid Gold. Base the shoe with Indian Turquoise and dry brush highlight with Snow White.Base Joseph’s staff with Burnt Sienna and dry brush highlight with Shading Flesh and deepen with a mix of Shading Flesh and Snow White.

Shepherd Boy: Base the shoe and cloak with Tuscan Red, shade with Napa Red and dry brush highlight with Splendid Gold. Leave his gown and turban the color of the resin and dry brush shade with Shading Flesh and deepen with Burnt Sienna, dry brush highlight with Splendid Gold and deepen with Snow White. Baby Jesus: Leave the blanket with color of the resin and dry brush with Shading Flesh and deepen with Burnt Sienna. Dry brush highlight with Snow White and Indian Turquoise. Base the straw with Moon Yellow, shade with Milk Choco-late, and wash Splendid Gold over the highlight-ed areas. Base the bottom of the manger with Milk Chocolate and dry brush Splendid Gold to highlight.

Finishing: Finish with several light coats of Americana Acrylic Spray Sealer/Finisher – Matte.Enjoy!!
