Extensive Product Range

Sulzer Pumps combines more than135 years of experience in pumpdevelopment and manufacturing witha deep commitment to fullyunderstand the needs of ourcustomers.

Our detailed process and applicationknowledge has allowed us to developinnovative pumping solutions for our

Sulzer Pumps has a long history ofproviding innovative pumpingsolutions to business partners in thefollowing industries:

• Oil & Gas

• Hydrocarbon Processing

• Pulp and Paper

• Power Generation

• Food, Metals & Fertilizers

• Water and Wastewater

Hydrocarbon ProcessingHydrocarbon extraction plants, refineries, petrochemical plants andgas plants operate sophisticatedproduction processes requiring reliablepumping solutions. Continuous prod-uct innovations such as our new lineof hermetically sealed, horizontal andvertical process pumps, are helpingthe industry improve its operationalefficiency.

Sulzer Pumps, with its high-qualityproduct line, is known for being able toconsistently meet these expectations. All our pumps are engineered in linewith the latest standards issued byAPI, ISO and ANSI in order to ensurereliable and safe operation at yoursite.

The Hydrocarbon Processing Industryis one of the core business segmentswithin Sulzer Pumps. Followingindustry practice, we further subdividethe segment into:• Synfuels• Refining• Gas Processing• PetrochemicalsThe market and therefore ourcustomers require speciality appli-cations for each subsegment.

focus segments including tailor madesystems if required. Our activeresearch & development supports thecustomer oriented approach.

Sulzer Pumps has sales and servicefacilities in all the major markets of theworld to provide fast and flexibleresponse and support.

Product Development

Evolving Industry StandardsThe OHH takes the best features ofthe CAP8 and ZE to provide thelargest proven hydraulic range in theindustry – over 70 sizes. Standardimpellers are 11,000 Nss or less. Mostsizes have an option for lower NPSHrhydraulics. The existing world re-nowned bearing frame was furtherimproved by fitting a low noise coolingfan and options such as magnetic oilseals and monitoring instrumentation. This makes the OHH the first API endsuction process pump to fully complywith the API 8th and 9th edition / ISO13709 standards.

The OHH overhung process pumpincludes the latest in mechanical sealstechnology and is used in heavy-duty refinery services, petrochemicalplants, gas processing and offshoreservices. It is a horizontal, single-stage, radial-split, centerline mountedprocess pump. The mechanical sealsand auxiliaries supplied are in fullcompliance with the requirements ofAPI 682 1st and 2nd edition / ISO21049.

Sulzer Pumps provides a broad rangeof API centrifugal pumps for thedemanding applications of theHydrocarbon Processing Industry. The OHH API 610 9th edition endsuction process pump is a merger ofthe American designed CAP8 and theZE/ZF, its European designed sister.

The fluids pumped include sour water, gasoline, light hydrocarbons, andvacuum bottoms. The customersbenefit from the robust construction, the versatility in application, and thelong reliable service life.

A wide performance range providesfor an optimized hydraulic fit, thusensuring operation within close prox-imity to the best efficiency point.

A fully integrated global supply chainis integral to the OHH range. Aspecialized manufacturing facilitysupplies “bare shaft” pumps into localpackaging facilities. From there theyare packaged on a baseplate includ-ing piping, instrumentation, driversetc., prepared for final customerinspection and shipped to site.Consistently meeting customer require-ments has earned Sulzer theconfidence of the industry.

Reliability and availability of pumpingapplications and equipment dependson the quality of its design, technicalconsultancy and manufacture. Toachieve these goals, a QualityManagement System covering alloperations is essential. This coversnot only our internal operations butalso our relationship with thecustomers. Our innovative productsand services create high lifecyclevalue for our customers. We monitorour customer satisfaction in accor-dance with a planned procedure, andwe utilize the feedback to improve ourprocesses. In manufacturing oper-ations Quality Assurance (QA) beginswith contract review and continuesthroughout the process in a plannedand controlled way.Our globally recognized QualityManagement System complies withnational and international standardsusing ISO 9001:2000 as its basis. Allour manufacturing locations are

certified in accordance with thisinternational standard. Ongoing train-ing and internal and external auditsensure that all standards andprocedures are maintained by ourcompanies around the world. In today's highly competitive businessenvironment, having products thatfulfill our customers’ expectations andspecifications is fundamental. AtSulzer Pumps, we win the confidenceof our clients by the quality of ourproducts and services.

The environment as astrategic componentSulzer Pumps aims for sustainabledevelopment; we intend to satisfytoday‘s requirements without erodingthe livelihood base of futuregenerations. Total Quality meanssatisfying customer‘s requirements inthe most economic way by using thefewest possible resources of everykind.

Our definition of Total Quality alreadyembraces the concept of eco-efficiency:• Reduce material intensity• Reduce energy intensity• Reduce emissions and waste• Extend product durability• Enhance material recyclability• Maximize sustainable use of

renewable resourcesSustainability is only achievable byintegrating environmental aspects intoproduct development as well as intoday-to-day operations.
