ODH updates As part of the Ohio PCMH Education Pilot Project (H.B. 198), a PCMH Interprofessional Curriculum meeting was held on Wed., June 4 with 80 participants including physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, physical therapists, audiologists, dieticians, sports medicine, radiologic technologists, occupational therapists, special education professional, public health, and practice coaches. A team from OSU Family Medicine at CarePoint Gahanna presented an example of how their interprofessional team works. Cynthia Pearsall, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer at Fairfield Medical Center, led the group through the Appreciative Inquiry process to look at how to better achieve team-based patient-centered care in Ohio. Date change: The third annual Ohio Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative conference will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at COSI in Columbus. Watch for more details soon.
