Commission (MORPC), in partnership with
the Safe Routes to School National
Partnership and the National Center for
Safe Routes to School will attract over 600
professionals from many sectors interested
in SRTS, active transportation and physical
activity.
Leveraging Funding Action Team • Meets the 2nd Monday of the Month at
11am via GoToMeeting
• Maintain relationships & interest in SRTS, active transportation and shared use funding to advance issues at state and local levels
• Currently working in improving funding for SRTS and active transportation at the state level through policy change and education at department levels
• Developing outreach to metropolitan and regional planning organizations about AT and SRTS funding.

Complete Streets/Active Transportation Action Team • Meets the 1st Monday of the Month
at 11am via GoToMeeting
• Promote CS/AT community work
• Compiled policies, resolutions, etc. from regional/community language from Ohio communities
• Offer assistance to MPOs working to develop policy, or expand in their regions
• Assist with or host CS/AT regional training to support and implement policy and planning.

Shared Use Action Team • Meets bimonthly (odd months)
the 3rd Monday of the Month at 9am via GoToMeeting
• Passage of HB 290 is a jumping off point for education and awareness of shared use policy opportunities for schools
• Ohio is becoming nationally recognized for hospital shared use programs and policy applications
• School siting guidance recommendations that support shared use and active transportation during planning.

Ohio Chronic Disease Collaborative
• Lead agency to advance Safe Routes To School, Complete Streets and Shared Use objectives
• Objectives are integrated into Ohio Safe Routes Action Teams and State Plan – Join a team to assist!
