Coal Ash and Byproducts for Reserve Pit Stabilization List October 2012

These companies have received permission to utilize their waste materials for solidifying oilfield drilling waste in reserve pits approved and regulated by the North Dakota Industrial Commission. Please be advised that reserve pit reclamation is regulated by the North Dakota Industrial Commission; however,

certain rules and permits are under the jurisdiction of the ND Department of Health (NDDoH). Transportation and reclamation staff must be adequately trained and be provided protective equipment.

This list should not be considered an endorsement of any particular product. Transporters must have a North Dakota Waste Transporter Permit and are

responsible for safe management practices during transfer and delivery of the waste material. Spillage of these materials has the potential to impact human and animal health, water, land and air resources, and the general environment. Any spillage or release of the material must be reported via the state Environmental Incident Report Form which can be viewed online at: http://www.ndhealth.gov/ehs/eir/eirform.htm
