The rate of water that is being released from the lake has been increased. As water is allowed to run from the lake on the East and West sides of the lake, current areas will form. Canals and cuts will all be flowing creating feeding opportunities for all game fish. If you can find fish feeding in the current a fast moving bait such as a rattle trap or jerk bait will draw strikes. Flukes, top water baits and lightly weighted worms will also work. During the hot midday hours flipping and pitching with a jig or creature bait around

cattail clumps or heavy matted cover will draw bites from bigger bass. The East side of the lake is holding a ton of bass, many of them are smaller year class size fish, but there are larger fish there also. Schooling fish can be found on the outside Kissimmee grass lines chasing shad during the early morning hours, spinnerbaits or fast retrieve swim baits will draw strikes in the grass. Along the edges rattle traps and top water baits will work when the fish are on top chasing once they go down a heavier weighted bait will work.
