Bass fishing is very consistent from week to week, the early morning top water bite is very exciting for those throwing their favorite topwater plug. Whether your favorite plug is a zara spook or a tiny torpedo or something in between they will all draw strikes when fished in the right place at the right time. A swim jig has consistently put bass in the boat for anglers willing to stick with it, anglers are using many different kinds of trailers for the swimming style jig, a shad imitating bait is our favorite. Look for a mixture of cover on natural points as a key area to find feeding fish. Blue gill are still being caught in good numbers by fly rod anglers as well as those using an old school cane pole with a cricket. There are numerous areas where the grasses are topped out forming mats, look for fish around the outside edges of these matted areas. Fly rod anglers are catching bass and blue gill both when using tiny popping bugs around the cover edges.

The Brahma Bull Restaurant & Lounge will now be open on both Sat. and Sun. at 11:30 A. M. beginning on Sept. 7, 2013.
