The Okfuskee County Part-nership Board has been a part of Turning Point since September 2007.

Okfuskee County supports the partnership in all of its ac-tivities. In the past the Ok-fuskee County Partnership has been awarded the Turning Point Community Champion Award. A few activities they have provided over this year are Tobacco Prevention SWAT leadership camp, Child Abuse Prevention Day, Smoke Alarm Canvassing and Drug Prevention. The Okfuskee Partnership has

made huge strides over the past year, working on the MAPP health assessment process for Okfuskee County. The MAPP process is Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partner-ships. With the assessment that the partnership board has accomplished, it has brought many new partners together for the same purpose—to create a healthier Okfuskee County.

The Okfuskee County Partnership Board was selected as the 2011 Community Champion

for their hard work on the MAPP Process, engaging partners from various sec-tors, and various parts of the county to improve the health of all citizens.

Coalition collaborated with Okfuskee County Health Department on assessing the community’s health through MAPP. Child Abuse Prevention Program Smoke Alarm Canvas in Boley and Paden Tobacco Media Campaign

Gateway to Prevention & Recovery, and ODMHSAS, coalition identified high rates of Methamphetamine use in the county as a priority and have developed a work-group to strategically address the issue
