Every individual contributes to the formation of history. An

appropriate question might be, “What footprints are we

leaving in the sands of time?”

AgoodleaderunderstandstheimportanceofinvestingintheNEXTgeneration.

Present victories quickly become stories of yesterday.

Without a plan, succession becomes a nightmare; however,

that challenge constitutes our mission! Effective leadership

embraces the future by providing resources for those who

follow.

Strategic planning comprehends the present while dream-

ing the NEXT level. Could it be, we have not excelled until

we have worked our way “out” of a job? Spiritual leadership

yearns for the principles of the harvest. Someone once

said, “Man may count the number of seeds in an apple, but

only God can count the number of apples in a seed.”

Wecelebrateaddition,Godpromotesmultiplication!

I believe in asking what’s NEXT? I believe in dreaming when

is NEXT? I believe in projecting where is NEXT? I believe in

strategizing how is NEXT? I believe the Spirit reveals who is

NEXT!

For those reasons, I urge each Oklahoma credentialed min-

ister and your spouse to meet me in THENEXTGENERATION

BANQUET.

PASTORS – I need your promotion! Every church has lead-

ers, the real movers and shakers. Some have been elected;

some have been appointed; some have been uniquely

blessed; some speak while everyone listens. I NEED YOUR

LEADERS PRESENT FOR THE NEXT GENERATION BANQUET.

PASTORS–youarethekey,theonlykey,tomakingthishappen.

Please mark the date for the Next Generation Banquet on

your calendar as a priority. Have your leaders mark the date

with permanent ink. Choose a date and a location that best

fits the calendar for your people. (Dates are printed on the

back of this issue.}

Heroes&HeroinesTime marches on! Fresh, new faces keep coming before us,

while the old veterans fade from our sight. Thank God for all

the missionary applicants and approved candidates we have,

yet we cannot and will not forget the seasoned missionary who

has paid the price through a life time of service. My heroes

and heroines, in the faith, are fastly stepping aside from ac-

tive ministry. Some are even being summoned to appear in

heaven. Yet, the work of God continues. We who remain active

in life must be found faithful.

Make no mistake about it, there will be representation around

the Throne of God from every language group on planet earth,

Revelation 5:9 and 7:9 says so. Heaven is a big place and it will

be full of millions of people from every area and culture of this

diverse global village.

Our role as Believers remains the same: fill Heaven, populate

Heaven, get as many people as we can to go with us. I have the

conviction that the houses and mansions in Heaven will not

be empty, every mansion and room will be occupied. The Big

House will be full!

So, the bush still burns. The retired, the veteran, and the

recruit missionary, share a common thread-they want to see

Heaven filled with people. Missionaries prepare for years to

go. They gladly depart their indigenous culture to take the

message of redemption to an indebted people. And even

those missionaries who can no longer go-the fire gets shut up

in their bones.

Our Oklahoma missionaries remain on the cutting edge of

world evangelism. They can be found effectively laboring in

Africa, going through the open doors of Eastern Europe and

Asia, guiding the development of the ever growing Latin Ameri-

can church, planting churches and training workers in the sub-

continent of Asia and up and down the Pacific rim, and working

in the asphalt jungles of our country’s great cities.

Heroesandheroines they are, not any better than other

ministers of the Gospel only called to take the message else-

where.

Ralph Hollandsworth, veteran missionary to West Africa was

summoned to appear before the Lord on June 4, 2010. Rose-

mary remains behind in Gig Harbor, Washington. Another hero

has left for the Big House.

Thelma Ward, veteran missionary to Africa was summoned

Heavenward a few months ago. Her husband LeRoy stays

behind in Waxahachie, Texas.

An old song we hardly sing anymore comes to mind when I

think of our heroes and heroines being promoted to their next

life- “When We All Get To Heaven.”

“Sing the wondrous love of JesusSing His mercy and His grace

In the mansions bright and blessedHe’ll prepare for us a place.

While we walk the pilgrim’s pathway

Clouds will over spread the sky,But when traveling days are over

Not a shadow, nor a sigh.

Let us then be true and faithfulTrusting, serving every day

Just one glimpse of Him in GloryWill the toils of life repay.

When we all get to HeavenWhat a day of rejoicing that will be

When we all see JesusWe’ll sing and shout the victory.”

Revving engines, pit crews, the roar of the crowd, and checkered flags

are all things that you would normally associate with places like Day-

tona or Talladega, but on the first weekend of June, it was the sights

and sounds of the 2010 Oklahoma District Pow Wow.

Royal Ranger Outposts from all over the state made Camp Ad-

venture in Chandler, OK the place to be for this exciting event. The

theme for this year was “Start Your Engines – Hebrews 12:2”. Some

of the daytime events included paintball competition, push car races,

Ranger Derby, Fastest Pit Crew race, Crash and Burn water slide, as

well as many other NASCAR themed events. The FCF guys were also

in attendance with activities such as knife and tomahawk throwing,

blacksmith demonstrations, as well as tours through the FCF Village.

As evening fell on Camp Adventure, the Council Fire Services began.

Both Friday and Saturday nights were filled with praise and worship,

preaching and wonderful responses at the altar. What an awesome

sight it was to see young men at the altars each night praying and

seeking the Lord with their commanders and the rest of their outpost.

I would like to thank Marvin Lemke, our District Council Royal

Rangers Coordinator, for all that he accomplished in getting ready

for a great Pow Wow. He spent months working and walking all over

Camp Adventure getting it ready for Pow Wow. He also had a great

staff of commanders that assisted in making the event a great success.

Way to Go Marvin! You deserve a spot in the Winner’s Circle.

Although this was the first Pow Wow that I have ever attended, I am

already looking forward to not only Pow Wow 2011, but everything

that the Lord has in store for our Oklahoma Royal Rangers. Way to go

guys!

GENTLEMEN…STARTYOURENGINES!!!!

The Oklahoma Church Multiplication vision is gaining

momentum daily. Calls are reaching my office and

people are inquiring about Boot Camp, and we are

also receiving calls from potential church planters.

As the vision grows and the word spreads, more and

more churches will be launched throughout the state.

Every pastor, church leader, and church family serves

as key players in the future of the church planting

movement in Oklahoma. Church Multiplication is

a combined effort of many people focusing on one

purpose. The church planters commit themselves to

the vision of going into an area and sowing their lives

in a harvest field of unreached people. The sponsor-

ing and partnering church or churches get behind the

planter with their financial and prayerful support to

enable the new pastor to give their entire energy to

reaching the lost. The district assists by facilitating

the planter through assessments and resources that

equip the new church planter with a maximum op-

portunity for success. By working together, everyone

wins. Truly church multiplication is teamwork in

action.

Allow me to say a few words about our Church Planting Boot Camp com-

ing up this summer at North Church in Oklahoma City. I hope the follow-

ing information will be helpful to you.

1.Whoshouldattend?Anyone who is seriously interested in planting a church should attend

this training event. The materials shared during the week at Boot

Camp are an invaluable source of information that will equip a church

planter with the necessary tools and procedures in starting a new

work.

2.Howcanyouhelp?We need “table coaches” who will attend the sessions with the plant-

ers and coach them through the various exercises during the week.

Coach training takes place on Monday afternoon and the facilitators

will instruct coaches on how to lead discussions and implement the

learning process. Those who are interested in helping start a new

church should consider being a table coach. What the coach learns

will help them know what to look for in a church planter and how the

local church can better facilitate the planting process.

3.Howdoyouregister?All registration for planters is made through the national Assemblies

of God Church Multiplication office in Springfield, MO. To register, go

on line at www.churchmultiplicationnetwork.ag.org and register on

line, or call the national office at 417 862-2781 ext. 3500. They can

answer all your questions and help you with details for registration.

4.Howtoregistertobeatablecoach?Call my office and give me your name and contact information. The

number of coaches we will need will be determined by how many

planters register. That number will not be finalized until late July, but I

encourage you to act now if you want to be placed on the prospective

coaches list. My number is 580 255-2745 or 580 467-6309.

May God bless the vision of church multiplication in 2010. Pray for our

team which consists of Ron McCaslin, Rodney Fouts, Darren Pilcher, Ric

Freeman, Eddie McElhannon, Phil Taylor, and yours truly.

//SummerfuninGirlsMinistries!

This summer we have already had several sectional day camps

and retreats for the girls of Oklahoma! What is so important

about a Girls Retreat? No boys!! That may sound a little odd

but it is a known fact that girls just act differently when they are

not around boys. At our retreats and Annual Sleepover girls can

just be themselves, free to worship and soak in the presence

of the Holy Spirit. A sectional Girls Retreat is a more intimate,

casual camp experience with girls being mentored by women

in a unique way. Swimming, archery, hiking, rappelling, games,

sports, and don’t forget KP (Kitchen duty!) these are camp

experiences that girls will remember as the highlight of their

summer. Summer retreat can also give girls that opportunity

to really seek after God and His purpose for their life. My own

daughters have experienced God in special ways at Girls Retreat

and were filled with the Holy Spirit at retreat years ago.

This year two of our past Girls Only Graduates & Gold Medal-

ists were the speakers for Section 5 Retreat! It was awesome

having Amanda Collins and Grace Naumann share the message

and pray in the altars with the younger girls. That is the Titus

2 principle in action! I can’t wait to see how many girls were

saved and filled with the Holy Spirit this summer! Pastors, thank

you for supporting our Sectional events and if you would like

more information about Girls Retreat, Sleepover or Day Camps

(for younger girls), please contact our office. Oklahoma girls are

SUPER GIRLS!

LookingforaGuideThis Memorial weekend 32 Chi Alphans from 5 Oklahoma

campuses went to Colorado for the XA Whitewater Adven-

ture. That morning the River was flowing at the highest

level in 5 years. At that time, our guides became even

more important, because they would be the ones to get

us through the rapids that day. On the way home I began

thinking and praying for students that are being sent off to

college without a spiritual guide to help them along their

way. This Summer we’re working to connect with as many

students as possible. We’re here to be a guide & help your

students through the challenges that lie ahead. Give us a

call and help us connect with every student that’s heading

our way.

LookingforaChangeThis month 26 of the Oklahoma XA

family will be joining with over 650 XA

campus ministers n Phoenix, AZ for the

National Campus Missions Conference.

Change the Campus, Change the World

will be our theme and we Praise God

that because of your help, prayers &

support we are and will see that become

a reality as Oklahoma campuses impact

our World.

LookingforaFriendThat same weekend, OU & UCO Chi Alpha

took a team of International Students to

the All Nations Student Conference @ CBC

to join with 160 students from 32 nations

to hear and grow in their relationship with

Christ. Lives were changed and the oppor-

tunity was made possible because of friend-

ships developed on the campus. It’s great

to know that we’re more than a guide but a

friend to help students see the relationship

of Jesus Christ, through us.

SAGU Launches MissionTENDuring SAGU’s Spring Mission

Convention, January 19-21, SAGU World Missions Director Chad Germany introduced Mission TEN (To Every Nation). The decade-long initiative involves praying, proclaiming and sending to every nation on earth and every state in China and India.

As part of the project, each student has been randomly assigned an adopted nation (or state in China or India) to pray for regularly, both individually and in corporate prayer times. There are approximately eight students assigned to each nation. Students will also receive weekly updates on their country to guide their prayer.

In addition, the Missions Department has a ten-year plan in place to send a missions team to the 261 nations of the earth. The plan entails sending teams to twenty-six nations every year in order to proclaim the gospel in every nation.

Thus the final aspect of the initiative: Send. SAGU has always had a strong missions tradition. P.C. Nelson founded

the school with the missional focus “the whole gospel for the whole man for the whole world.” That missions-mindedness is at the very center of this focus for the upcoming decade, sending long-term missionaries in various vocational capacities to every nation of the earth.
