Old Bar Public School Success by the Sea Newsletter 2BOB Radio Last Thursday afternoon Marko Dokonal, Bede Sharrock and Charlie Pitt from class 1/2B went to 2BOB radio station along with Sam Deehan, Blake Elford and Joel Minihan from year 6. We got there in Mrs Sheridan’s car. When we got there we had a look around the studio. When it was our turn to speak into the microphone, Char- lie spoke about the Infants Athlet- ics Fun Day. Marko spoke about year 2 swimming and the new Kindergartens. Bede spoke about After-School Sport and the new play equipment. We were able to play our own songs. It was a fantastic experience for us clever kids! ...By 1/2B Participants. Year 6 Farewell Planning for the year 6 farewell which is to be held on 17th De- cember is well underway. The parent volunteers, under the guid- ance of Mrs Hinton, have planned the decoration of the hall and the purchase and preparation of the food. The year 6 students received their invitations last week and should return their acceptance with $12 to Mrs Hinton as soon as pos- sible. Any year 6 parents who wish to help with the hall decoration or preparation and serving of the food on the night should contact Mrs Hinton. Also, parents are reminded to bring in or send in the photo col- lages before the day, so they can be displayed in the hall. School Enrolment 2013 This week we have had a site in- spection to plan for the installation of a new demountable classroom for our 16th class in 2013. The new demountable will be moved onto the site during the school holidays and should be ready for use by the start of Term 1 2013. At this stage our numbers indicate that we will be very close to the 400 student mark in 2013. MNC Family Referral Service Launch There will be a launch held for the Mid North Coast Referral Service at 12:00 noon on Friday 30th No-vember. We have brochures avail-able at school for families wishing more information about the as-sistance provided by the Referral Service, which is run in conjunction with NSW Health, Burrun Dalai and the Benevolent Society.
