Right of Life Sunday

And I feel one thing I want to share with you all, the greatest destroyer of peace today is the cry of the innocent unborn child. For if a mother can murder her own child in her womb, what is left for you and for me to kill each other? Even in the scripture it is written: Even if mother could forget her child - I will not forget you - I have carved you in the palm of my hand. Even if mother could forget, but today millions of unborn children are being killed. And we say nothing. In the newspa-pers you read numbers of this one and that one being killed, this being destroyed, but nobody speaks of the millions of little ones who have been conceived to the same life as you and I, to the life of God, and we say nothing, we allow it. To me the nations who have legalized abor-tion, they are the poorest nations. They are afraid of the little one, they are afraid of the unborn child, and the child must die because they don't want to feed one more child, to educate one more child, the child must die. And so today, let us here make a strong resolution, we are going to save every little child, every unborn child, give them a chance to be born.

A volunteer is needed to help organize and log receipts for an elderly person. Volunteer should be over 25 years of age and must be able to tolerate smoke. Some remuneration is available. Please contact Fr. Matt at 688-4815.

Soar with the Saints, sponsored by Eagles Wings, will be October 19 at 7:15 PM, in the downstairs confer-ence room. Each week features an inspiring movie on the life of a Saint. All are welcomed to attend.

Women’s retreat group celebrates 43 years of attendance at the Sa-cred Heart Retreat House in Al-hambra. This retreat is a silent weekend led by Fr. James Farfaglia with talks and time to meditate. Christmas Basket Applications

Applications are available in the parish office at Old Mission Santa Ines. The Christmas Basket Pro-gram is designed to reach those who are experiencing the greatest financial challenges. It is open to families who have minor chil-dren (17 years of age and under) that live in the Santa Ynez Valley only (Solvang, Buellton, Los Olivos, Ballard, and Santa Ynez.) Religious Education

St. Louis de Monfort invites all choirs/musicians to their Liturgical Music Day, Saturday, October 29 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

“A CALL TO PRAY” for a dry and thirsty land. Let’s build an army of warriors! As a community of believers, we will pray for one hour, on these two mornings and fast for the month in between. (Fast is optional) Location: Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church, Dates: Wednesday October 19, from 6:30 to 7:30AM and Wednes-day, November 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 AM.

Procesión y Misa con Motivo del Año de la Misericordia

La Procesión será de La Misión de Santa Inés a La Puerta Santa de San Luis de Monfort

Viernes 21 de Octubre. Procesión iniciará a las 6pm de St. Joseph High School (4120 S. Bradley

Road Santa Maria) hasta La Iglesia. Misa iniciará a las 7pm oficiada por el Padre Mateo Se ofrecerá el Sacramento de la Reconciliación para quien lo necesite y

obtener la indulgencia Plenaria ofrecida por el Papa Francisco en este Año Jubilar.

Domingo Derecho a la Vida

Y siento una cosa que quiero compartir con ustedes, el ma-yor destructor de la paz hoy en día es el llanto de un niño inocente no nacido. ¿En efecto, si una madre puede matar a su propio hijo en su vientre, que se espera para matarse el uno al otro? Está escrito en la Escritura: Si una madre pudiera olvidarse de su hijo - yo no me olvidare de ti - Te he tallado en la palma de mi mano.

Pero hoy en día millones de niños son asesinados, y no decimos nada. En los periódicos leemos sobre números de asesinados y destruidos, pero nadie habla de los millones de pequeños que han sido concebidos con la misma vida que tú y yo, la vida de Dios. Y no decimos nada, lo permitimos.

Para mí, las naciones que han legalizado el aborto, son las naciones más po-bres. Tienen miedo de los más pequeños, tienen miedo de los niños no nacidos, y el niño debe morir porque no quieren alimentar a un niño más, educar a un niño más, y el niño debe morir.

Y por eso hoy, vamos a hacer aquí una resolución firme, vamos a salvar a to-dos los niños pequeños, cada niño no nacido, darles una oportunidad de nacer.
