Because olive oil is 73% oleic acid it posi2vely affects
cerebral growth in babies. Olive oil also has the same
concentra2on of linolenic acid as breast milk. There is no
ques2on about the benefits of EVOO.
The conundrum is this: which is the best EVOO. There are many price points – from
under $10/liter to over $80/liter. There are many
varie2es.
We conducted a double blind taste test among six
volunteers who sampled three varie2es of domes2c
(US) oils .
Tasters had no way of knowing which oil was which
and they were sampled randomly in unmarked
opaque containers, Raters had no way of knowing what they were tas2ng or where it came from. The results were astounding. Six of the six
chose Bariani as the best oil.
So there you have it. The people’s choice. BARIANI from Sacramento – judged the BEST Extra Virgin Olive
Oil.

Bariani Raw California Wildflower Honey 100% Pure and naturalRaw Honey has fine textured crystals. It looks milkier and contains particles and flecks made of bee pollen, honeycomb bits and propolis (a natural antibiotic). Raw and unfiltered honey is relatively low in moisture content (14% to 18%) and has a high antioxidant level. It will usually granulate and crystallize to a margarine-like consistency after a month or two. Many people prefer to spread it on bread and waffles, dissolve it in hot coffee or tea, or use it for cooking and baking.
if you’re any kind of fan of honey, you HAVE to TRY Bariani Raw Honey. it’s so superior to the plastic “bear” container honey that flows from the bear’s head. Oh, it’s like a different product altogether.
Bariani Honey fits the description: Nectar of the Gods, it’s that good. Once you taste it, you’ll never go back to anything else.
Ever moving forward, Bariani has expanded its line to include a truffle oil and an Olive Paté, both of which we’ll put through the taste tests and let you know. In the meantime, Bariani Olive Oil, is now available at Bristol Farms where you can stock up. Or you can visit their online store and place your order there for shipment directly to your front door.
Go to Barianioliveoil.com and check out their ”new look”website. Look for our newest report in early 2017. Meantime, stock up for the holidays, with Bariani products/
To be first on all six ballots, in a double blind tasting is, indeed, a stunning achievement. However, it is typical in the dedication that the Bariani’s are known for. The Bariani family has origins deep rooted in the Northern Italian region of Lombardy. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs and artisans, the family's ideals have never changed.
After closing a successful construction business in Italy in the late 1980s, the family moved to Northern California. After settling in Sacramento the family relied on working part time for friends and with their help started producing olive oil for their own use. Relying on his metal working background, the father, Angelo, built his own press and crusher which were in use for the first few years of production . Only then, with the encouragement of friends, the family decided to start their own olive oil company.
The timing couldn't have been better.
Luigi had just graduated from Sacramento State University while Enrico received a degree from UC Davis. Both devoted their full time to the family business and with their parents Angelo and Santa helped shape the business. In 1996, Emanuele received his degree from UC Davis and moved to San Francisco to represent the company in one of the most important raw food, and health conscious markets in the nation.
In 2001, Sebastian, the youngest son, finished his studies at California Poly San Luis Obispo and returned to Sacramento to aid the growing business.
Today, Bariani Olive Oil is committed in producing an authentic extra virgin olive oil which is raw and once only available thru the turn of the century. Produced in a limited quantity, the olive oil is a registered organic product and with the particular and discriminatory taste of the family, the quality is always guaranteed.
