A non-Fair Trade banana in the UK is sold for approximately 30p.

Your task is to write down how much of that 30p your role SHOULD get. (keep it a secret from the rest of your group)

Complete the task sheet.

When you are done we are going to add up how much a banana costs in your group.

Group discussion

What makes for a good group discussion?

Each person now has a chance to present to their group why they should get that amount of the money. Each person wants as much of the 30p as possible

but the whole group must agree at the end.

EXT: What did you disagree about in your group? How did you overcome these disagreements?

Page 14: Olivia Jordan J Dharma

Write down the amounts you have decided on onto the banana split sheet.

Page 15: Olivia Jordan J Dharma

Presentations Next lesson you are going to feed back to the

class explaining how you have divided the 30p.

Each person must explain how much their role got and why they got this amount.

You have the rest of the lesson to practice.

Another group will be assessing how good your presentation is.
