GENERAL INFORMATION In order to operate a catamaran or sailboat on a Sea Isle City Beach, an owner is required to obtain a license from the municipal clerk. The decal, issued during the licensing process, must be displayed on the right front hull of the vessel. Beach tags are required for all beaches from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day. Tags may be purchased at the Community Center (Beach Badge Office) 125 JFK Boulevard or from one of the beach badge inspectors on the beach. Beach tags are not required on Wednesdays, except July 4th. The cost of beach tags is $20.00 for a seasonal tag, $10.00 for a weekly tag and $5.00 for a daily tag. Beach tags are required for everyone 12 years of age and older. Beaches are protected by lifeguards 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday. Beaches north of 20th Street have no designations. These beaches are not protected and use is at ones own risk. Activities such as surfing and volleyball are allowed on these beaches. Bathing is permitted on protected beaches only. Flotation devices with a fin may not be used on a raft beach. Flotation devices with a fin, such as belly and body boards, may be used on the surfing beaches provided a leash is used and flippers are worn by the operator. Two volleyball nets are the maximum permitted per volleyball beach. Nets are not provided. Promenade (Boardwalk) runs from 29th St. to 57th St.

KAYAKING REGULATIONS

1. A life jacket must be worn at all times. 2. Anyone under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by an adult in a two seat kayak. 3. Kayaks must stay 50 feet away from swimmers and rock jetties. 4. Only one person is permitted per single seat kayak. No more than two people are permitted per double seat kayak. 5. Entering or exiting the water and riding waves must be done between the boundary flags.

6. Jumping off a kayak beyond the breaking waves is prohibited. 7. Stay within 1/4 mile of the shore line. 8. Respect and consider the safety of other kayakers when riding waves.

Access to beach at 32nd, 40th, 44th, 63rd, 85th, and JFK Streets. Gazebo with picnic facilities at 85th Street entrance. 94th Street gazebo at Townsend's Inlet Park has ramp access to the gazebo and to a decked walkway into the dunes. SURF CHAIRS - - Locations: Chairs are available YEAR Round -- From Memorial Day to Labor Day at the Beach Patrol Headquarters (44th Street & Promenade), open 9am to 4:30pm daily; from Labor Day to Memorial Day through Public Works (609-263-6000), M-F, 7am to 3pm. -Reservations: Surf chairs are available (NO CHARGE) on a first come-first served system. 2 forms of ID are required. Reservations are strongly suggested. Chairs may be signed out for 1-14 days; on the first day of registration, the chair(s) must be picked up by 11:30am. If chairs are kept for more than 1 day, you must provide your own storage and transportation. ACCESSIBLE REST ROOMS - Public rest rooms are located at 32nd, 40th, 44th, 85th on the beach and 94th Street at Townsend's Inlet Park. All rest rooms have at least 1 accessible stall. There are separate fully accessible rest rooms at 32nd and 40th Streets on the Promenade and at 85th Street at the beach. ACCESSIBLE PARKING - There are accessible parking spaces along JFK Boulevard & Promenade and at Townsend's Inlet Park at 94th Street. Mostly metered parking.
