®

A term soon to be synonymous

with granite memorial

personalization, granite

architectural design, granite signs

and endless possibilities using

granite as a main feature or accent,

Glass Art® brings color, detail, and

amazing artistic diversity to a

formerly black and white medium.

For the first time in history color can

be applied to any granite with

astonishing detail and longevity.

The photo depicts a project completed late 2012 at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Seattle. The

objective was to reproduce a portrait of Our Lady of Sorrows. This particular project was unique as it

solved a problem…”How do we use a blank wall with no depth to create a marketable space that is

beautiful and functional?” Oregon Memorials employed a blend of technique and product to produce

these 4” square niches holding 220 cubic-in urns. The shutters are Jerusalem Gold marble trimmed with

Classic Verdi marble. The Glass Art® image of Our Sorrowful Mother was applied to a 2cm slab of

green granite. Oregon Memorials is positioned to establish outlets and move into full production with

Glass Art®. The process has long legs in the sign industry as well as architecture and memorialization.

If you have questions about Glass Art® or are interested in utilizing Glass Art® for your next granite

feature/project or memorial, please call Oregon Memorials 1-800-767-7866.

Fantastic Facts from your Fabulous Customer Service Folks

This issue we are looking at just one critical issue and dissecting it. Order forms. OM is asking--nay-

-requiring our order forms for all orders beginning March 1st 2013.

You see much like the old phrase, “garbage in garbage out.” Our order forms must be used and

filled out correctly to give your families the best chance at receiving a perfect memorial in a

reasonable time frame. When we get third-party order forms, napkins, scratch paper and the like, a

chance to make an error increases immeasurably.

In 2010 we embarked on an aggressive plan to automate our order entry and tracking system. While

we are still pushing limits and refining that system, we have come to the point that our order forms

must be used. This will help ensure consistent and accurate transfer of information.

In short, the use of our order forms helps input accuracy. It helps process orders faster. It helps find

things that might otherwise be overlooked (handwritten notes in a random corner), and if pertinent

information is missing. All of this allows us to serve you better and your families faster--with fewer

errors. So, reminder: as of March 1st 2013 all orders will need to come in on the OM order form.

Thank you! Your families will appreciate it!!

Starting March 1st, we can process orders which are on OM order

forms only!

I am happy to remind you that at

Oregon Memorials I use Paradise

Pictures exclusively for our porcelain

portraits. I have been absolutely

thrilled with the quality and

customer care they have provided.

I wanted you to know that they

have just introduced a new

potential revenue source for your

company. It’s a great service for

your families!!!

Paradise has created an online memorial system called AdmiredLife. This system uses

GPS location to connect your families to their physical memorial via a website. This

service is free to anyone using Paradise Pictures for their portraits (so if you are using

us for your portraits, you are in!!). It is a great way to share a life story. Your families

can create a photo gallery or include an obituary on the site and much more. To find

out about this program please visit www.admiredlife.com.

In giving freedom to the slave, we assure freedom to the free - honorable alike in what we

give and what we preserve. We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth.
