Visiting Scholar and Education Tour

OMGAH International assumes strong social and corporate responsibilities. We believe that international cultural and education exchanges bring immeasurable benefits to the education systems of both China and US and to our future generations. In 2012, we began to sponsor qualified educators from the US and China to visit top schools in each other’s country in order to experience and participate in student activities and learn new instructional strategies.

• Example 1: Beijing Nan Mo Fang Central Primary School

In 2012, OMGAH International sponsored visits by the Principal and Vice-Principal of Beijing Nan Mo Fang Central Primary school to two schools in Charlotte, NC (Berewick Elementary and Winget Park Elementary). We facilitated the signing of agreements establishing friendship-school relationships among these schools, and we continue to promote exchange activities, including online interactive classes between Winget Park Elementary and Beijing Nan Mo Fang Primary, which are scheduled to begin April 15, 2013, and will be filmed by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District.

• Example 2: Hangzhou No. 2 High School

In the fall of 2013, we will sponsor a teacher from Hangzhou No. 2 High School to spend 1 semester at a leading US high school as a visiting scholar. OMGAH International will be responsible for all the expenses associated with the program. We are now actively looking for a qualified US high school that would like to receive the teacher from Hangzhou No. 2. We expect the teacher to observe and study US high school methods for administering and teaching, designing curriculum, and organizing student activities. We also hope that the US school would allow the teacher to participate in class as a teaching assistant.
