Omyacare® are high purity calcium carbonates (CaCO3), which are, in effect, «concentrates» of natural calcium specially designed for the cosmetic industry. These mate-rials are engineered to meet the special requirements of oral care, color care, skin care and hair care applications.

Omyacare® are natural minerals produced under control-led clean manufacturing conditions, with reduced envi-ronmental impacts - such as carbon footprint and waste.

Natural whiteness The brightness and opacity of Omyacare® make them sui-table for use in white and colored cosmetics. Omyacare® can even be used as an enhancer of titanium dioxide.

Omyacare® is a biogenic material

When life appeared on earth, some living organisms such as corals and bivalves developed the capability to synthesize calcium carbonate. The calcium carbonate was utilized in the organism primarily to create the shell or skeleton.

When the sea creatures died, their skeletons and shells settled down onto the ocean floors. A geological phe-

nomenon called diagenesis and lithification subsequent-ly occurred to produce the carbonated sedimentary rocks out of this calcium carbonate rich deposit.

Omyacare® are natural, pure white calcium carbonate minerals from nature. They are attractive ingredients for natural cosmetics. Selected products carry the Ecocert and COSMOS label.

Omyacare® products are different

To meet the brightness, polishing, opacifying require-ments of the cosmetic industry, Omyacare® products are available as limestone and marble based products.
