The Faculty Development Committee is instrumental in monitoring and identifying needs related to the professional and career development of the faculty, including, but not limited to: teaching, evaluation and research. Based on the identied needs for faculty development, the committee develops strategies for the Faculty development programs and workshops. Thus from its inception, the Faculty Development Committee of the PEU had organized eight Faculty Development Workshops focusing on Teaching, learning assessments and research.

WHO CAN ATTEND The program is open for faculty members of PCI approved Pharmacy institutions with 5 years teaching experience. Delegate participation is strictly limited to rst 30 registrants. Ÿ Par ticipants are requested to bring their own laptop

compulsorily.Ÿ Accommodation will be provided on request only for

outstation participants.

Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute

Faculty of Pharmacy of Sri Ramachandra Medical College and

Research institute (Deemed to be University) established in 1993,

Program in Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical

About Pharmacy Education Unit

The Pharmacy Education Unit (PEU) was established in the year

2010 and is responsible for reviewing revisions of existing UG and

PG curricula periodically and foster the development of new

curricula based on the current trends and needs in Pharmacy

Profession, keeping abreast the evolving role of a Pharmacist

from Industry to health care.

Ÿ Get motivated and expand their roles as mentors and

facilitators in promoting the professional and personal

development of their mentees.

Ÿ Understand and apply the principles of evaluation

effectively in assessing the students and setting of

question papers.

About the CEP

This integrated Continuing Pharmacy Program is

aimed at escalating the understanding of the faculty on

the strategies involved in effective execution of the new

B. Pharm Curriculum. The program also intends to

provide opportunities for the teachers to acquaint

themselves with recent developments in teaching and

learning methods; to enhance their knowledge and

skills on the principles of evaluation and question paper

setting for the undergraduate curriculum. The focus of

this CEP also extends towards emphasizing the role of

a faculty in bridging academia and industry through

research, strengthening the skills of the faculty for

effective mentor-mentee dynamics and provide

assistance on their overall personality development.
