NEW HYMNALS FOR SCR

St. Clement of Rome has chosen Ritual Song as our new hymnal. This hard covered hymnal will include the full texts of the readings for each Sunday and feast day of the three-year Lectionary cycle as well as service music and psalmody and an equal balance of contemporary and traditional hymns. It will also provide a wide selection of world music and a diversity of languages for multilingual worship. The publisher of Ritual Song is GIA – the same publisher that has published the Gather hymnal, the resource we have been using for the past 20 years here at SCR. So, many of the hymns and songs you will know and recognize. However, many new songs will be available for us to learn as well. We would like to invite you to consider purchasing one or more hymnals. You can donate a hymnal and dedicate it to the memory of a departed loved one or to simply honor your family name. A memorial plate will be attached to the inside front cover of the hymnal creating a lasting memory for years to come. The cost of each Ritual Song hymnal is $18.00. Please see the envelopes in the back of church to make a donation.

The 2017 St. Clement of Rome Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For more information or to register a booth, please contact our school office at 888-0386.

COME SPEND AN HOUR WITH THE LORD!

Tuesdays 4:00 PM Thursdays 4:00 AM Fridays 6:00 PM Saturdays 3:00 AM, 5:00 AM & 4:00 PM We are in need of adorers who can commit to an hour one day a week. Please consider an hour with the Lord. Times most needed are those posted here and in the chapel.

FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS October 7, 2017

On December 10, 1925, Our Lady of Fatima asked that the faithful dedicate the first Saturdays of five consecutive months in reparation for sin by going to confession, receiving Holy Communion, praying five decades of the Holy Rosary, and meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary for at least 15 minutes. This has become known as the First Saturday Devotions. Since the Church recently celebrated the 100th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, we will begin celebrating these devotions on the first Saturday of each month beginning on Saturday, October 7 by offering our regularly scheduled morning Rosary and Mass in atonement for sin and for the conversion of the United States. We invite you to join us for these First Saturday devotions .
