This is a condensed form of premium list as allowed by Chapter 6, Section 2a of The Rules Applying to Dog Shows. A complete list of obedience prizes offered can be obtained the day of the Trial or by sending an email request to the Obedience Trophy Chair: Joan Florentine [email protected] or the Rally Trophy Chair: Wendy Harmon [email protected] All awards will be made at the Trial. Exhibitors must remain for presentation if eligible for special prizes, or they will forfeit such prizes. Trophies will not be mailed. The Cape Fear Dog Training Club reserves the right to substitute a trophy of equal value in the event one listed is not available from the donor.
NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without agreement and instructions on reverse side of the official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Email, Telephone and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted.
Mail all Entries with fees to: Kellie Page, PO Box 361, Wagram NC, 28396. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Confirmation of entries and judging schedules will be made after entries close. Should such confirmation not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Trial Secretary. OVERNIGHT ENTRIES: PLEASE CHECK “NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED”.
Make all Checks and Money Orders payable to Cape Fear Dog Training Club. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. US FUNDS only. Trial Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. A Recording Fee of $.50 and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 is required of each dog entered at any Licensed Obedience Trial. These fees will be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show; the Recording fee is collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2) No Entry shall be made and no entry shall he accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Post dated Checks and Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a $25 collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made.
Entry Limits: Entries limited to 10 hours judging per day for the obedience trials and 4 hours per day for the rally trial. A wait list will be established.
Jump height order: Saturday in ascending order and Sunday in descending order.
Bitches that come in season after the closing date of entries may receive a refund, less $5.00, if certification from a Veterinarian is received by the Trial Secretary prior to the start of the Obedience Trial.
Errors on Entry Forms. Owners are responsible for errors in filling out Entry Forms. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of such errors or due to cancellation of entries after the closing date. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Dogs not entered in the trial will NOT be allowed in the building. Dogs cannot be left in the building overnight. Limited indoor space for crating.
By providing an email address on the entry form, you agree to electronic correspondence for confirmation letter and judging program. If you would like your confirmation letter and judging program sent via US Postal Service, you may either not provide your email address on your entry or you may specifically request snail mail.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have proof of appropriate vaccinations.
NO X PENS ALLOWED INSIDE BUILDING. No Smoking In The Building Please Pick Up After Your Dog
Cape Fear Dog Training Club, their agents, members, etc, assume no responsibility for any injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children.
All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged.
Move Up of Dogs in Obedience Classes (Ch. 1 Section 16 of Obedience Regulations). The request for a move up must be in writing and presented to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Move ups may be approved provided the next level class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit.
Judges Will Not Wait For Any Dog Holding Up A Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged.
AKC rules apply for class size limits, 10 hours of judging per day for obedience trials and 4 hours of judging for the rally trial.
No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside or within 100 feet of any building in which this dog show is conducted.
No Unauthorized Persons will be allowed in the building before 7am Saturday and Sunday.

Fri. evening crating will be available for the rally trial. You will not be able to set up your crate if you are not entered in Rally Fri evening.

WAIVER of RIGHTS –ANIMALS IN DISTRESS
Cape Fear Dog Training Club, Inc. reserves the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle or crate. All persons attending these dog events hereby waive any claim for damages against the club for such removal. The club regards the health, safety and life of any dog on the show grounds to be paramount to other property or privacy rights.

From Charlotte, NC Take US Highway 74 East, to exit 181, US 74 BUS, toward Laurinburg. Turn left to merge onto US-15N/US-401 N/US 501 N. Continue to follow US 401 N, which turns into Raeford Road. Turn right onto the All American Freeway, which turns into Owen drive. Go 2.9 miles and turn Right onto Gillespie/I-95 BUS S/US-301 S. After .5 mile turn Left onto E Mountain Dr, in .4 mile turn right onto Companion Ct. The building is on the left at the end of the gravel road.
From Raleigh, NC Interstate 95 South to Bus I-95/301 South (Exit 56) toward Fayetteville, Ft.Bragg/Pope AAF. Continue for approximately 9.2 miles which becomes Eastern Blvd. Turn left on E. Mountain Dr. continue approximately .4 mile. Turn right on Companion Ct (gravel road). Cape Fear DTC will be at the end of the road on the left.
From Columbia, SC Take Interstate 95 North to exit 40 for I-95N/US-301 toward Fayetteville. This road turns into Gillespie Street. Go 5.8 miles and turn right onto E Mountain Dr. Go 0.4 miles and turn right onto Companion Ct. The building is on the left at the end of the gravel road.

A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a trial closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any trial for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the
liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (we) agree that any cause of action, controversy or claim arising out of or related to the entry, exhibition or attendance at the event between the AKC and the event -giving club (unless otherwise stated in its premium list) and myself (ourselves) or as to the construction, interpretation and effect of this agreement shall be settled by arbitration pursuant to the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association. However, prior to arbitration all applicable AKC bylaws, rules, regulations and procedures must first be followed as set forth in the AKC charter and bylaws, rules, regulations, published policies and guidelines.
INSTRUCTIONS
A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a trial closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any trial for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
