ONE MAN’S STORY

Written & Read by Jacqueline S. ClevelandMusic by The Talley’s

Page 2: One Man’s Story

Let me tell you story that I promise is true

It may seem familiar because it not very new

It’s about a man beaten down by the World’s awful games.

Once a proud and strong man now full of sin and shame.

Page 3: One Man’s Story

The Devil had his fun; and started up a fight.

Beating this man senseless it was an awful sight

They left him in the gutter to die, no use to anyone

Until that precious day when he met the risen Son

Page 4: One Man’s Story

To that Hill called Calvary this man just simply went

To surrounded his broken life, that seemed already spent

Those burdens rolled off his back into the deep blue sea

The chains and shackles were gone and he was set free

Page 5: One Man’s Story

Then the Angels stop and listen, with hearts so full of cheer

Not a noise in heaven could be heard, as the music grew near

Then a song broke forth that made the entire Heaven’s ring

“Praise God, I’ve been redeemed” the man began to sing

Page 6: One Man’s Story

Then all at once the angels let out a victory shout

They strike up the band, and dance all about

Cause never will you hear any angel sing that song

For only to the sinner saved by grace does that belong

Page 7: One Man’s Story

Because Jesus paid a high price so ever long ago

So He can take a blacken heart, make it white as snow

Then create a new man and give him a new start

A new life, a clean soul and a joyful heart.

Page 8: One Man’s Story

But the journey seem hard at first on the narrow way

The man at first struggled and falls, but never will he stray

For he learned that only way that he could ever stand

Was on his knees, holding tight to Jesus’ mighty hand

Page 9: One Man’s Story
Page 10: One Man’s Story

Then when the dark night came and clouds hid the light

The enemy came in; he felt he was loosing the fight

Where did Jesus go? He use to be so near

The man knew he shouldn’t be scared but oh how he feared

Page 11: One Man’s Story

He felt he was walking through the Valley of Death

He wondered when he would take his last and final breath

This was to much to bear the burden was to great

He knew he had to trust but would be his fate?

Page 12: One Man’s Story

Then silence fell, as the morning began to break

The wounded soldier stirred then started to awake

Where once he stood in that great battle’s heat

He now stood with his enemies’ dead and around his feet

Page 13: One Man’s Story

The battle was too great, the night oh so long

But there was only One who can ever be so strong

To wipe out the enemies to make them all fall

The One and only, my All in All

Page 14: One Man’s Story

In that great battle O’ how he had cried

But now his heart overflowed with joy inside

On that battle field where he barely had a chance

Now you can see a man doing a grateful dance

Page 15: One Man’s Story

For when you have the King of kings riding by your side

You have the Greatest Warrior you will ever find

For one things for sure and will always stay the same

Enemies will always tremble at the mention of His

name

Page 16: One Man’s Story

From mountain tops to valley low, place he has gone

From tragedies to miracles, yet the man journeyed on

He did his duties faithful he had a servant’s heart

Faithful in the little thing he did his little part

Page 18: One Man’s Story

So when death came to take this man away

It was then that he could hear Jesus simply say

“Thou good and faithful servant, I must say well done

You will rule with me and your life has just begun.”

Page 19: One Man’s Story

So into the same arms that brought him out of sin

Into the same arms that now welcome him in

Forever in heaven he will always be

To Worship and Praise and to Sing

Page 20: One Man’s Story

But as I come to a close this story now must end

Yet there is one last message that I promise I would send

Remember this man, who life story I just share

Tell it to your family and friend for whom you care

Page 21: One Man’s Story

Jesus is your Savior and your closes friend

Bread of Life, Almighty in whom you can depend

Press towards the mark of heaven that’s above

And don’t forget to show neighborly love

Page 22: One Man’s Story

So when death comes to take you away

You will also hope that you will hear Jesus say

“Thou good and faithful servant, I must say well done

You will rule with me and your life has just begun”
