Overview
One Stop Career Centers were established throughout the state of Florida to provide one location to acquire employment
services.
Individuals are able to obtain employment services as well as Labor Market Information for the entire State of Florida.

Services We Offer
The ACCESS Florida Program is responsible for public assistance eligibility
determination and ongoing case management of Food Assistance, Temporary Cash Assistance and Medicaid.
The One Stop Career Centers have computers dedicated to ACCESS services. You may apply on line at:

Wagner-Peyser (WP)
WP is a federally funded program to help
match those looking for work with available
jobs.
WP also helps those collecting unemployment in Florida meet the job search
requirements. If you use Employ
Florida, then you are
receiving a Wagner-Peyser
service.
What is WP?

Veterans – Veteran representatives available for job search assistance to case management
REA/PREP: Participants randomly selected to receive intensive, one-on- one assessment

What can WIA do for eligible customers?
In Region 3 we serve residents of Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty or Washington counties
You must be authorized to work in the United States
You must be 18 years of age or older
If you are a male born after 1/1/1960, you must be registered for Selective Service
You are unable to obtain self-sufficient employment
WIA Adult Eligibility
Adults: We can serve individuals
that are economicall
y disadvantag
ed. This includes
customers who are receiving
public assistance
or low-income adults. Dislocated Workers: We
can assist individuals who have been terminated, laid off or notified of a lay off
who are eligible for Unemployment Benefits.
Older Youth: We can serve
young people
between the ages of
19-21 who are
economically
disadvantaged.
Customers should also
have a barrier that
requires additional assistance
such as being a teen
parent, foster child, basic skills deficient, disabled youth,
offender, etc.
Workforce Investment Act:
Services are subject to the availability of
funds.
Other Eligibility Requirements for Training Services
There are 3 levels of services within the
WIA Program. Customers will complete the
requirements of each level of service
before progressing to the next level.

How does the WIA program work?
Economically Disadvantaged Youth Ages 14-21
(a) an eligible youth who is a school drop out or: (b) is an eligible youth who has either
graduated from high school or holds a GED, but is basic skills deficient, unemployed or
underemployed. WIA Sec. 101 (33)
Region 3 serves the most “at risk” youth.
WIA for Out-of-School Youth
1. Below 9th Grade Reading or Math level
2. High School Drop-out without diploma and not attending
any school
3. Homeless, Runaway or Foster Child
4. Pregnant or Parenting
Barriers for Youth Age 14-21, and low income individual
Out-of-School Youth
6th Barrier An individual (including a youth with a disability) who requires
additional assistance to complete an educational program and/or to secure and maintain employment

What is WT/TANF?
Welfare Transition (WT)
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families(TANF)
WT/TANF emphasizes work and personal responsibility in a program structured to enable participants to move from welfare to economic self-sufficiency.

What is the FSET Program?
Food Stamp Employment and Training Program
(FSET)
FSET emphasizes work, self-
sufficiency, and personal
responsibility. The program
strives to meet the needs of
participants in gaining skills, training, work, and experience
that will increase the program participants'
ability to obtain total self-
sufficiency.
The FSET program is
funded annually through a grant provided to the Department of Children and
Families (DCF) by the United
States Department of
Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition
Service (FNS).
In the state of Florida, the FSET Program is voluntary. To participate, you must complete an orientation at the One Stop Career Center or on-line. The following services are available.
