INTRODUCTION

Lenguax is proud to offer a high-quality online rater course for those interested in obtaining or renewing a certificate in

applying the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements to Aviation English test speech samples.

The course is a mixture of online group discussion sessions and self-access reading / listening activities.

Initially, the first 3 self-access modules are made available to users at https://www.lenguax.com/courses/aviationenglish-

rater-course/ for studying before the first Zoom session on Day 1. The other self-access modules become available to

trainees as the course unfolds, and are discussed in the next day's session.

At the end of the week you will be ready to rate full tests, and you will be asked to rate 4 tests on your own, receiving

statistical feedback on performance in relation to our panel of ELE & SME Raters in the form of a Rasch analysis on your

rating severity / leniency.

CERTIFICATION

On the last day of the course you will be given four test performances to rate. You will be given

feedback on how your scores compare to those of our expert panel, and statistical feedback in

the form of a Rasch analysis showing your severity or leniency compared to other raters who

have listened to these performances.
