What is the Occupational English Test?

• Who Should Take OET?

• The OET test should be taken by healthcare professionals who are already qualified in their own country but ultimately would like to work in

English speaking countries. OET results are accepted as proof of English language skills in the UK, the USA, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Singapore, Malta, Maldives,

Qatar, Namibia and Ukraine.

• The OET is also the perfect for those people who are already living in an English speaking country, such as the UK, but don’t have proof of their English level. Therefore they have lower level jobs, than what they are qualified to do. Many of these people at the moment take the IELTS exam.

• What Level Do I Need To Pass OET And How Much Does It Cost?

• The passing score for OET is 350 across all sections, which is grade B. This is the equivalent of IELTS minimum 6.5 in writing and at least 7.0 in reading, speaking and listening. It costs $587 AUD globally and based on an OET candidate research 85% of test takers consider OET to be excellent or above average value for money.
