Introduction

Foreign Exchange - What is it and how does it effect you?

• Market Rates

• Quick and sudden moves e.g. GBP/CHF & GBP/EUR

• Stable currency markets

• Purchasing goods in other currencies

• Sensitive pricing and competitors

• Budgeting and modelling your pricing for your business

Making the most of the currency influence as an online

seller

• Buying Goods

• Pricing your products

• Repatriating sales internationally

Buying

• Negotiating price in another currency

• Buying in another currency – consider spread and payment charges

• Which currency – USD? EUR? HKD?

• Would a currency move impact your costs?

• Spot with room for manoeuvre

• Forward Contract with guarantee on costs

Pricing

• Consider if you can be flexible with your customers and vs competition

• Currency movements can reflect your pricing

• Be dynamic and flexible

• Receive regular currency updates at www.worldfirst.com

• Manual processes can be timely but you have complete control

• Automatic pricing can be easier but be aware of currency moves and competitor pricing.

• Add in overheads and margin and then translate in currency price from your provider.

Receiving

• Receive payments in another currency via Marketplace will charge you up to 4%.

• Open your own overseas bank account.

• Use World First bank accounts to halve these costs.

• Our accounts are segregated and NOT pooled.

• Flexibility for you to choose when you transact.

• Book forward for repatriations.

How it Works

• Sell overseas on marketplaces.

• Open an account in 10 minutes online for free.

• Add bank details into your seller account.

• Receive you international income from customers into your foreign World First bank account.

• Login online or call your dedicated dealer 24/7.

• Convert your international sales back into GBP to your bank account.

Q&A

10 mins Tips to

TIP # 1 Sell Internationally

• Test the waters: Display your products to buyers in different regions.

• When listing on eBay.co.uk, mention international

P & P Cost

• Your items will get shown to international buyers.

• Take advantage of Global Shipping Programme

1 Step Further

• Continue to use your existing eBay UK account and add listings directly on international eBay sites.

• Consider language

• Try out English Speaking Countries: United States, Canada, Australia

• Try out: Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland…..

Tip 2 # Offer Free Delivery

• Free delivery is always attractive to buyers & we are seeing this “NORMAL” these days

• Improves your Best Match search result ranking on eBay.

• Consider a trial period with set of listings & test the results.

Tip 3 # Check Your Listing Titles

• Revise Your Listings Titles

• Include All relevant Information on TitleAccuracy is key — do not include any keywords that could be

misleading. Avoid spelling and grammar errors, and capitalise words in a title.

Using words such as ‘original’, ‘official’ or ‘genuine’ at the start of your title as reassurance to the consumer. Include attributes that best describe the quality and build of your product, together with the location of where the product is manufactured.

• Lengthen titles to 80 characters

•Your New title made with Title Builder may not make sense but it works.

•Checkout this title and sales.

Tip # 4 Fill in all Relevant Product Specifics• Revisit product listings because they have changed over

time.

• Item Specifics helps Browse navigation & makes it easier for shoppers to drill down & refine the listing results shown.

• Invest time building out the data for Item Specifics available in the categories you sell in.

Tip # 5 List with variations• Group variations of products under a parent listing.

• Helps other listings: If you have a product that is available in red and green, and you’ve sold 6 red and 1 red, the parent listing of the item will show that you’ve sold 7 total, giving it more prominent in search results.

Tip # 6 Don't Use Good Till Cancelled

• New, well priced listings will be automatically placed near the top of the Best Match category for the first day or two and then will slowly move downward as other sellers list their items and they are placed above yours.

• To make this work for you, don't use GTC, and end every item every 30 days and then relist them.

• When eBay runs a free listing promotion, take advantage and end your listings early and then relist them for free every few days.

Tip 7 # Relist “Unsold” products

• Your listings contain a coded history that eBay uses to favour new listings and downplay older ones.

• When something hasn't sold after certain period, just end it and then use the "sell similar" feature which transfers all the product details but not its listing history.

• A bulk "Sell Similar" feature is now included in Selling Manager Pro and you can process 50 items at a time.
