Suppliers: At the moment the Website stocks very high quality costume jewellery from 12 designers: Rings, Earrings, Necklaces, Pendants, Bracelets, Bangles & Cuffs. The Companies are mostly in the US (some are very large Companies) and a couple from the UK and Israel. Most are not stocked in Cyprus – a major selling point. Though after my first order LK Designs gave representation of their products to a Cypriot here (without my knowledge). There are many more designers that we can recommend. The Website will benefit from Greek & Russian ‘language’ implementation. The Software has the capability as a framework but the buyer would need to consult a developer to this end. Note, the site has complete professional business Website documentation to a very high standard which took extensive time and work such as Terms & Conditions/Privacy Policy/FAQ’s/Product Care/Ring Size Charts these can be easily translated and quite cheaply. The Website needs some areas that need fine tuning (all Websites do especially in the beginning). Unfortunately the Developer who initially developed the Site has passed away quite suddenly whilst the Site still had work to be done on it. We are working on these points but as the business expands obviously more fine tuning/alterations will be needed according to the business model and ideas of the new owner. The CS Cart Software people Simbirsk Technologies Ltd have an excellent Technical Support System (you purchase tickets) and a Custom Development Department. Provided there is good communication in English, they are excellent as they wrote the Software, so you know the work will get done and any problems will be resolved. We take advantage of both but a local developer may also be an option. Online advertising such as Google Adwords and Facebook is a must. Offline advertising especially in Greek/Russian Media. Contacts should be made with Cypriot Fashion Magazines for both advertising and inclusion of pieces in the fashion areas of of these magazines on a seasonal or monthly bases. Contacts should be made with TV stations perhaps to set up an interview spot with one of the daily morning or afternoon shows speaking about ecommerce and or fashion jewellery. Contacts should be made to give pieces to be worn in TV shows for ‘end credits’. The Website itself has plenty of room for expansion – and business wise a few more designers should be added. Handbags should be added also both designer and own brand (we can advise and make recommendations). Own Brand Jewellery is a possible area to be considered. We have sold pieces to customers abroad even as far as California (the other side of the World). The Website would benefit and take the business to the next level with the opening of an Offline Shop. Customers enjoy browsing the products in their own time and in the comfort of their own home and statistics clearly show that off line business now acquires over 30% (and expanding rapidly) of its sales from those customers who have previously browsed the Website online. Just ‘Motif’ is an excellent easy Shop front sign and we were fortunate to acquire ‘Motif Ltd’ and not have to add initials or the like as we were advised to, on the assumption that such a short easy name would NOT be approved. But www.motifboutique.com is also excellent as a signage option allowing the Website to be up front and center, as it were, for marketing and advertising purposes. We are, we believe, one of the first professional setups for ecommerce in Cyprus , the industry is in its infancy so therefore to be one of the first is extremely advantageous, as the home market matures with this new way of shopping. Men in Cyprus are more ‘advanced’ in this area as the plethora of tech sites can testify. Indeed we have found many of our customers are Men buying gifts. We can also advise on another one or two avenues for consideration in the realm of Internet Business and provide supplier contacts we think might be of interest in these areas. We have worked exhaustively in the implementation of this business with great attention to detail.
