Executive summary
The HR function are more important in this era of the business as its helped to develop the
proper skills and knowledge in the employees so the big business houses can worksmoothly in it. This report focus on the training section and development programmers
moving on the different type so the training methods the reliance company used the
various training scheme in order to trained its employee an create the quality in delivering
the services as well as proper functioning of the business houses at large. The reliance
company is known for its versatility in the different sectors of the businesses as it holds the
petroleum, retail, financial services, telecom and other agro related business which makes
the companies name famous over the entire world. The training and development are that
functions of the HRM which brings the excellence in the services of the company as further
it would be helpful in maintain the customer and clients as well as attract the new
customer and clients for the business.
Introduction
The businesses are now becoming more attractive through its high involvement in the HR
functions as one of the other functions is also more important which is training and
development. The training and development holds the direct impact on the customer and
clients satisfaction at large. The competitive edge is create through holding the strong
functions of the training and development schemes as well as programs specially in MNC
companies.
The nature and size of the business houses affects training at large, as in the larger business
size would holds more better training such as on job training and off job training. The
employees are more develop with this kind of training where as in other enterprise the
selected training is given. The quality and expertise in the business houses are maintained
with the appropriate training given in the business. The every business is unique in its own
so the traiinig functions are design seeing out that quality and standard of the business as

The encouragement of the employees are high indulge in the unit as this makes their
training program as one example of Hollister branded company of garments they trained
their employees with sort of music and fun. So the each and every training programs
different with the pattern of the company at large.
Sometime the company even try to develop the whole department of the training where as
in case of the reliance the training sections are been developed which would help to make
the training functioning more effective.
Here the report discuss about the training section in the reliance company as the companymakes the training and development program runs in the unit for cop up with the advance
technology and information management. The level of the satisfaction of the customer and
clients are easily developed as because of its highly qualified and qualitative management.
The business performance and its employees code of conduct are maintained with the help
of the training program as it would make the business in more action as the customer and
clients would be more interested in it.
In this report one should also focus the literature review and implementation of the
training scheme which makes the argument for the different methods of the training
undergone by the company as well as the appropriate recommendation are also given by
the company in it. Mostly the training given by the companies varies with their
requirement and holds a nature of conduct to build in the employees behavior in order to
suits for the company at large.

been discussed by the company and its directors are dropping in to two broad

The other name of this training is also called as the on job training. Here the operative
training in simple terms means as training for the bottom foreman and supervisor. In this
mostly the training is given to the machine, and workshop etc. in this one person is hired to
give the training to the employees in the business very effectively. There are new methods
and idea introduce by trainer which would help the employee to gain certain experience
and tactics to work. The training of operative mostly include the different trainings like
internship, vestibule and apprentice training.
Vestibule Training: -
This is one the training methods which is very costly as well as this training program are
only done in the big MNC companies. Here in this training a different training centre is
develop which is almost similar to the work place and training is given on the basis of this
training program. Mostly this training varies as per the needs of the employer and its
employee so the business size and nature are very much important in this business houses.
The trainer is hired which one of the experts in giving training is according to the business
standard so that employee can maintained that repo of the company. In this kind of training
there is no interference of the regular production done in the company that is biggest
merits of it. The only limiting thing for this training is that it is very costly. For example the
training is mostly given in airlines and army institutes.
Apprenticeship Training:
This training is very popular for the professional to build as different craftsmanship and
professional doctors have made the certain issues. This training contains both the
educational information and practical work out in the business at large. This training is
only complete after holding both of this knowledge. The proper functioning are maintained
by the experts in this training as all the technical know how is been taught to employee or
profession. These skills are transfer to profession and make a trainer the entire
professional in its job. Sometimes the trainer are paid as stiffen or minimum amount in it.
With the views from one HR experts the apprentice training means as This method of
training enables the trainees to become all-round craftsmen. But this method is very
expensive and also there is no guarantee that a trained worker will continue to work in the

scientist and doctors or other professional.
Internship Training:-
This is balanced training for the trainer which means the learning mode is also important
with the work experience. This is kind of on job training which will introduce the value of
the employees or internship will bring something more well for the business houses in
order to gain a lot of the important functions at large. Here the technical knowledge is very
much important for the company as well as the employer. The internship is mostly
voluntary as it is for longer time in this the business houses has to used their resources
well quipped in the business and know better instead of it.
The appropriate knowledge and ideal learning is developed in the interns so that it makes
the affecting business houses at large. The business expertise know many things as due to
the technical scheme various professional trained to gain the work experience and deal in
well contained manager in the business houses at large. For example one can over view as
Ex. B.E. (Prod.) - 6 months in plant training and B.E. (Mech.) - 2 days in a week during final
year.

should be more interesting in giving this training to employees.

2] Position Rotation:-
This training is also one of the important for the business unit, as mostly when the manager
and employee get bored working in one place they are transfer to other departments and
training schedules. There are different kind of experience which helps the manager to
enrich their experiences and workout. Mostly this kind of the training is done in all the
units but recently in news feed it was informed that IBM and reliance are the tow
companies which used these training techniques to raise the manager workout as well as
identify the forms of the job. In recent news by the TECSO also it was known that its
employee and business performance increased with the help of employee enrich
experienced in working in the stores of TESCO, as the TESCO change the place of employee
within 6 six months of places working before2.
3] Serving on Committees:-
In the executive level this training is considered as one of the most important as here theemployees are working as the serving committees and mostly probably they need the
training to manager in order to transfer the skills and develop the business in to more
success. Here the person gets experiences of doing the each work more accurately. This
kind of training is more helpful for the small and middle scales units or enterprises.

As the sometimes there are some challenges in the business which is been very important

which hold frequent training to train their employee and employer in the unit so the best
service are given and targets are achieved easily.
5] Conference and Seminars:-
This is mostly training sections for the manager as form of Get to Gather and learn about
some of the management saga which needed to be introducing in the real business terms.
As mostly each and every business houses kept this kind of training for the employees in
order to make successive business targets. The dominos pizza and other companies used
this training for their employees. (the economic times)
6] Case Study:-
The training is given on the basis of the cases as it would create a more authentic skills in
the manager as this makes the company more helpful in order to the company. The
manager will get the different skills such as the leadership problem solving and other the
technical skills as well as managerial insight of the manager will also grow faster. Here the
manager would be able to take the right decision which would help the business and
company up to certain limits.
7] Incident Method:-
The Paul and Pigors of M.I.T had developed these methods which would make the people
trained to handle the different situation and working. Sometimes the incident makes the
employee more disturb in giving services so this brings dissatisfaction in the business as
well as for customer and clients. So to fulfill ones ideal situation and building more
authentic towards the services there are a different issue which needs to be taken care off.
This training is given to individual manager as this would react in better way. Some times
employee is lack in problem solving tactics; so this training helps to develop good things in
employee.

8] Role Playing:-
The group member are given special training for the decision of the business activities as
this training makes the leader more effective and efficient in order to manager or the team
member as in this training the real life experience are been shared. The kind of roles
teaches more effective things to unit as further makes human beings develop the empathy
and sensitivity at large. The FMCG companies are used to train the employees in this
matter.
9] Laboratory Training (or Sensitivity Training) (T group Training):
The training is one of the favorable impacts on the employee as well as employer because it
makes the employee or manager understands the work with integrity. The training period
are quiet large in this case of training. There are different issues which made learn to
employees and manager such as technical know how and managerial know how, this create
authentic skills in the manger or employers at large. For example the IT sector carrys out
this kind of training.
Implementation of training in the Reliance Company
In the Reliance Industries and Petroleum Company there are both the training given that is
on job training as well as off job training for the employee. This training is design for the all
level of management and various departments. In the on job training the training like
internship and vestibule are given to employees who would be helpful in developing
expertise quality in it. The off job training like case study, seminars and conferences,
serving committee as well as position rotation and undergone trainings are even to existing
employees as well as new employees. There is special training given to students and
worker of other institute in order to shape their careers and build up the objectives to
make the life more affective. There are no particular time period developed for the
internship training is training is given to any new person any time he wants as according to
the timings and suitability of staff in the company. The Reliance Company is more having

expertise training as the experts are hired by the company. The manager get often trained
with some or the other critical conditions as to make the effective decision and smooth
running of the operations.
Recommendation
The development and training functions are more powerful in the unit, but sometimes
there are some of the adverse conditions come where there are some limiting points
developed in the company. As in case of the reliance industry and petroleum the training is
given in each field but this training is not given separately to the employees as this training
is very much given together for all the level of management and departments. The scheme
and training program of the reliance companies are not clear and coherent as per the needs
of the unit. Though the training scheme is very vibrant and confusing so which training
scheme are used when and what its outcome is there is not know clearly. There are lot of
off job training but at the time of training half employees are not presented as due to work
load in the company (the times of india). There are many special training going on in
reliance as this training are not for each and every employee so the team working in project
sometimes not able to give proper output in the operation carried out.
Conclusion
The working and function of the training and development is very much important in the HRM as
well this would make the business carried out its operation very smoothly in the unit. There are
many issues and adversities faced by the employee and employers at the time of carrying the
training and development program. The experts are hired for the development of training program
so that each and every unit become more worthwhile and bring and makes the employees that
create a value in the unit and proves to edge over its competitors.
