Dr Rem, the dentist, was going to check Liam’s teeth today.

“Look at this tooth, Mum!” said Liam. He put his finger into his mouth. “I can move it.”

“Oh!” he cried. “Here’s my tooth. It has just come out.”

“Put it in this tissue, Liam,” said Mum, with a smile.

Liam put the tooth in his pocket with his little red truck.

Mum and Liam sat down in the waiting room.

“Mum,” said Liam. “I want to show Dr Rem my tooth.”

He put his hand into his pocket and pulled out the tissue. But the tooth was not there.

“Oh, no!” he said. “I can’t find it! I must have dropped it.”

Mum and Liam looked on the floor and they looked under the chairs.

But they could not see it.

Just then, Dr Rem called Liam’s name.

Liam sat in the big chair and opened his mouth. “I see you have just lost a tooth,” said Dr Rem.

Liam was sad. He wanted to show Dr Rem his tooth.

“Can I show you my truck?” said Liam.

“Yes,” said Dr Rem. “I would like to see it.”

Liam put his hand into his pocket and pulled out the little truck. “Oh!” he said. “Here’s my tooth. Look! It’s stuck on the wheel.”

Keeping Safe

All swimming pools have lifeguards

to keep swimmers safe.

Lifeguards always watch the people

in the pools.

If someone is in danger,

a lifeguard will help them

out of the water.

People love going to swimming pools

because they are safe places

to have fun in the water.
