GWO GWO BST - Basic Safety Training The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is an association of Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers. The GWO was set up to provide coherent basic safety training and is recognized throughout the industry.

Basic Safety Training includes 5 modules First Aid; Manual Handling; Fire Awareness; Working at Heights; Sea Survival (available soon).

Course aimed at Workers operating or intending to operate in the wind industry sector. Introduction and Objectives Sustain an accident-free work environment in the wind industry; Make all employees become aware of the dangers inherent to the practice of their work, as well as provide them with knowledge of the applicable legislation; Provide workers with knowledge about prevention and safety procedures at work through a set of techniques and methods of good practice; Know how to adapt first responder techniques in an emergency situation; Know and apply techniques and individual and collective protection systems to prevent errors and reduce the risk of accidents.

The training is based on the simulation of exercises in a real context and within a controlled space and environment. The GWO training grants technicians who need to carry out tasks in wind turbines the minimum competencies needed to carry out these tasks accurately and safely. This training also addresses emergency situations, and delegates are also prepared to intervene in various emergency situations, including wind turbine rescue and evacuation.
