CASING.
ANDESITIC' (MAFIC INTERMEDIATE) FLOW (MAFIC PHENOCRYSTSiAMYGDULES).
Medium green, non-magnetic, fine-grained with black 1-2mm chloritized amphibole
and (biotite?) phenocrysts against the lighter groundmass. Possible amygdules
(1-2mm) yet no apparent (and expected) (pillow selvages) with such, having white
cores hosting calcium carbonate. Light green ":1mm-2cm vein to wispy 'cherty'
bands, scratch resistant and hosing no mineralization.
'Andesite' with feldspar (2mm x 7mm), chloritized amphibole (2mm x 5mm) and
possible chloritized phenocrysts. No orientation to crystals except faintly near
beginning and end of section.
Minor pyrite mineralization C/2%) within weakly silicified andesite. Veinlets, stringer
and individual pyrite crystals (fine-grained). Weakly magnetic.
Brecciation vein consists of white quartz with angular fragments (most 1 cm x 1 cm) of
wallrock. Isolated fine-grained euhedral pyrite crystals within vein with much greater
pyrite mineralization within weak silicified volcanic near or at contacts with vein.
Very fine-grained disseminated magnetite. Most of section with 2Va chloritized mafic
(mainly amphibole) phenocrysts. Areas without mafic phenocrysts (1mm-2mm) with
blebby patches of mixed epidote and silicification.
Light green mixed epidote/silicification patches and blebs white calcium carbonate
veining. Scattered fine-grained pyrite crystals mm stringers associated with carbonate
veins.
Very fine-grained disseminated magnetite throughout most of section within basaltic
(chloritized) fine-grained matrix. Minor irregular white calcium carbonate veinlets.
Non-magnetic fine-grained.
Zone of weak foliation, wispy veinlets of calcium carbonate with mainly medium-grained
anhedral pyrite crystals.
GABBRO.
Medium gray-green, locally magnetic, homogeneous, medium-to coarse-grained, with
one area having bull quartz veins. Minor mm-thick carbonate veining. Foliated contact
uphole.
White bull quartz veins within gabbro. No mineralization.

wisps and veinlets. Minor ^1 "/0 ) fine-grained pyrite developed within veinlets.
TONALITIC INTRUSIVE within 'ANDESITE' (MAFIC INTERMEDIATE).
Veins (1-2cm) and sections up to 55cm of tonalite to quartz diorite with 6007o feldspar,
1 5"Xo amphibole and approximately 1 S+% quartz truncate and have xenoliths of fine
grained 'andesite'. No overall consistent crosscutting angle near sharp contacts.
Approximately 2"k fine-grained disseminated pyrite throughout.
'ANDESITE' (MAFIC INTERMEDIATE).
Relatively homogeneous with areas of mafic phenocrysts (1 mm x 2mm) 3"7o. One
main generation of low angle carbonate veinlets.
MAFIC VOLCANIC (CHLORITE, EPIDOTE CARBONATE).
Elevated chloritic content and epidote within matrix with tendency towards vuggy
areas (epidote and calcium carbonate). Patches (10cm) to interval (134.41m-135.30m)

Detailed Description
CASING.
FOLIATED/ALTERED DIORITE (?) SECTION.
Moderately foliated dusty gray-green with local white vuggy calcium carbonate veins
and blebs ribboned to blobby, parallel to foliation. Broken core in areas of section, up
to 50cm. Fine-grained (75 0Xo) pyrite occurs as tiny (mm) lensoidal crystals and fine-to
medium-grained accumulation, especially within carbonate veinlets or associated with
carbonate in first few metres of section. In latter half of section foliation weakens and
hlebby 'bleached' beige-gray prevail and pyrite decreases.
DIORITE (1LOCALIZED QUARTZ) with ANDESfTIC ISLANDS and XENOLITHIC FRAGMENTS.
Light gray, medium-to fine-grained with 20"Xo mm-sized dark green to black mafics
speckled throughout. Occasional dark translucent quartz eyes. Matrix contains
approximately C.5% fine-grained disseminated pyrite specks. Cm to metre length
dark gray xenolithic fragments and blebs of fine-grained andesite persistent
throughout. White calcium carbonate veins and veinlets crosscut through both
'lithologies'.
Andesite with 1-2cm calcium carbonate veins hosting stringers of golden fine-grained
pyrite within. Carbonate veins are at very low angles to core axis yet the mineralization
is prominent enough within veining to warrant check sampling.
Begins with dark blue quartz eyes in matrix and crosscutting quartzlcarbonate vein
2cm thick hosting minor (3 070 ) pyrite but within it, 10 07o wiry specks of chalcopyrite.
Assimilation of volcanic by intrusive area. ^ "/o fine-grained pyrite.
Splash of wispy chalcopyrite within soft epidote-chloritized assimilated volcanic.
Minor chalcopyrite (1 .57o) in quartz carbonate vein - 'contact' vein more in the
intrusive. Mineralization near volcanic/intrusive contact. Minor Q.5% fine-grained
pyrite. Non-magnetic throughout.
MAFIC INTERMEDIATE 'ANDESITE1 .
Gray fine-grained very weakly carbonaceous with one main (prominent) set of white
calcium carbonate veins throughout. Non-magnetic 'blebby' contact. Minor 1-5mm
carbonate veins with inner trains to seams of fine-grained pyrite (especially from
71.00m-74.00m).

CASING.
MAFIC INTERMEDIATE 'ANDESITE' (iAMYGDULES, SELVAGES).
Dark green-gray, non-magnetic, fine-grained, weakly fractured with epidote-carbonateveins and blotches downsection. Scattered fine-grained pyrite. Minor calciumcarbonate veining. Thin (3cm) pillow selvages most apparent from 23.00m-29.00m,
marked by light green-gray centres, mantled by dark gray to black outer areas.
SHEARED/ALTERED 1MINERALIZED MAFIC INTERMEDIATE 'ANDESITE'.
Low angle ^10") sheared section, weak sericitic, moderate carbonate with carbonateveins hosting local accumulations of fine-to medium-grained pyrite. Most veins ^cmthick. Weakly fractured throughout. Semi-abrupt contact areas. NOTE: 53.00m-
56.00m contains five feet of ground up core as noted by drillers block.
SPOTTED MAFIC INTERMEDIATE 'ANDESITE' FLOW?Altered version of typical volcanic, in this area being weakly silicified with gray-buff-
green epidotetfeldspathic spots (^1cm-3cm diameter) hosting red hematitic stain incentral area. Section fractured throughout. Locally broken core. Last three metresare foliated with increasing intensity downsection. Section as a whole has scatteredfine-grained pyrite but check samples when accumulations with carbonate occur.
FINE-GRAINED CARBONATE-RICH INTRUSIVE (GABBRO?).
Dark green, non-magnetic, homogeneous, fine-grained having rapid and steady
effervescence with 10"7o HCL. Contacts are sharp yet foliation (in volcanic) bounded.
Relatively void of pyrite.
MAFIC INTERMEDIATE 'ANDESITE' FLOW (FRACTURED CARBONATE).
Dark gray-green, non-magnetic, fine-grained with minor carbonate veining especially
upsection area (foliated). Minor broken/fractured core throughout.
Moderately foliated, with bleached appearance due to feldspathic-epidote (minorsericite possible) and interstitial calcium carbonate veinlets parallel to foliation. Veryweak fine-grained pyrite mineralization mainly associated with (and found within)calcium carbonate veinlets. (Check samples only).

LITHOLOGY
Detailed DescriptionQUARTZ DIORITE (XENOLITHIC, LOCALIZED VUGGY CARBONATE VEINS).
Spotted light gray, medium-grained 'quartzofeldspathic' lithology with 20-30"7o dark
green chloritized mafics. Quartz is fine-grained and intermixed with feldspathic matrix.(No apparent quartz eyes as 'stand alones'). Vuggy carbonate lenses especially in
first few metres of section. Fine-to medium-grained pyrite locally concentrated to 1 "/o.'Xenolithic fragments' appear as angular blocky 1-2cm x 1-5cm very dark overprints
of intrusive (occur from 105.00m-1 1 1 .00m) and may be a mafic solution phenomenon.
Contact area between volcanic and intrusive having slightly elevated medium-grained
pyrite mineralization (although no alteration). Amphiboles 0.5mm x 8mm (easilyvisible). Minor muscovite-chlorite sheen on isolated planes although no foliation inthis area. (Check samples only). No pyrite in volcanic at or near contact.
AMYGDALOIDAL MAFIC VOLCANIC.
Mixed contact area (no distinct contact angle) leads into dark green, non-magnetic,fine-grained volcanic with 2-3mm diameter light green-gray zoned epidotetcarbonate
amygdules. Pyrite very scarce. Minor crosscutting white carbonate veins. Quartz-feldspar-chloritized mafic amphibole dyke (quartz-diorite) with sharp uppercontact and quartz and vuggy carbonate-epidote blebby lower contact area.Scattered fine-grained pyrite crystals.
DIORITE.
Dark gray (tint blue) homogeneous, fine-to medium-grained. Plagioclase-rich (65"7o)with chloritized mafics (amphibole) making up bulk of remaining composition. Non
magnetic. Scattered fine-grained pyrite (Q.25%).Light gray (tint faint green), fine-grained equivalent of surrounding intrusive with very
little ^0"7o mafics. Possible weak chloritic overprint. Appears to be a 'pulse' in the
intrusives' history. Sharp upper contact and banded with quartzlfeldspar vein.Dark green chloritized fine-grained mafic volcanic with patches of diorite within. Sharpcontacts banded with quartz and feldspar within vein.
Foliated mix of diorite and mafic volcanic having mainly scattered medium-grainedeuhedral pyrite (check sample only)Dark gray, non-magnetic, fine-grained chloritized mafic volcanic with sharp contacts.Void of pyrite.

QUARTZ DIORITE.
Dark gray spotted translucent matrix with fine-to medium-grained quartz+feldsparcrystals. Dark green chloritized mafics mainly amphibole crystals 25-30"Xo are up to1 mm x 6mm in size. Weakly fractured with rusty fracture planes or as spots on core.
Minor (^"/o) xenoliths (mafic volcanic). Fine-grained disseminated pyrite (1.507o)
somewhat consistent throughout. Foliated contact at end of section.
25.40m-26.00m: silicified sections near blebby quartz vein 1 "/o pyrite (check sample).
28.15m-30.74m: broken/fractured core.31 .10m-31 .34m: dark green chloritized mafic volcanic with blebby quartz contacts.Likely caught as wallrock and left a xenolithic chunk.34.12m-37.13m: broken/fractured (ground core locally).37.32rn-38.31rn: possible transition zone. Upper contact foliated. Weak foliation of
crystals (coarse-grained) throughout blebby section. Very sharp lower contact.
FINE-GRAINED DIORITE.Speckled dark green homogeneous with 4507o chloritized mafics (predominantly
amphiboles) against gray plagioclase-rich matrix. Non-magnetic. Scarce pyrite
(trace). Lower contact obscure (rusty).
QUARTZ DIORITE.
Dark gray spotted fine-to medium-grained having 3007o chloritized mafics. Unlike
24.28m-38.31m, only local fine-grained pyrite along select low angle (all ^0" to core
axis) hair thin fractures (and only accumulating up to 1 0Xo in one area 49.77m-50.33m).Check sample. Dark green fine-grained non-magnetic xenoliths of chloritized mafic
volcanic (up to 2cm x 3cm) scattered throughout (O.2507o). One main set of cm thickquartz and/or carbonate veins throughout - every 1 0-20cm, all of which contain no
pyrite mineralization.Light gray-green 'bleached' hues of feldspathic alteration at borders of lower angle^45") quartz±carbonate veinlets. Hues mantle these low angle (veins cm or less inthickness) for several cm beyond the vein. Slight elevation in pyrite mineralization in
this area. One quartz vein in particular 84.86m-84.95m hosts coarse-grained pyritemeshed crystals (pyrite is classic pale brass - not golden).

LITHOLOGYDetailed Description
CASING.
•ANDESITE' MAFIC INTERMEDIATE AMYGDULE FLOW (SELVAGES?).
Dark green chlorite-epidote aphanitic flow with beige quartz-epidote-filled amygdules
(<1-2cm diameter) throughout. Non-magnetic. Minor high angle white calcium
carbonate veinlets yet low angle ^30" to core axis) fracture-fill carbonatetquartz
veinlets hosting localized concentrations of fine-to medium-grained pyrite. No distinct
pillow selvages. Sharp contact at end of section. (NOTE: veins with mineralization
are not continuous across sampled area but pyrite mineralization is indicative of what
occurs within sample area).
FINE-GRAINED DIORITE TO GABBRO.
Sharp contact into amphibole ((0.4mm) 50GXo) and plagioclase ((0.3mm) 500Xo) rich
intrusive with weak fabric development. Weak fizz in most of the matrix. No cross
cutting carbonate or quartz veins. Trace fine-grained pyrite. Quartzlvuggy carbonate
veining at contacts.
PILLOWED MAFIC VOLCANIC (AMYGDULES).
Dark green aphanitic flow with localized accumulation of 2-4mm diameter amygdules.
Black selvages (2-3cm thick) with pale green-gray halo's hosting mm-sized vuggs.
Minor fracture-fill quartz-carbonate veinlets hosting pyrite, most veinlets void of
mineralization. Check samples only. Xenolithic-rich contact (not breccia per se).
DIORITE.
Speckled (350Xo chlorite specks) (after amphibole) against a light gray feldspar-rich
matrix (scratchable - no quartz). Distinct sets of white calcium carbonate veins.
Minor cm-sized xenoliths of mafic volcanic (chloritized now to dark green). Fine
grained pyrite mineralization on low (*20") angle fracture-fill veinlets. (High angle
^0" carbonate veinlets are all barren of mineralization). Check samples only.
•ANDESITE1 MAFIC INTERMEDIATE (FRACTURED).
Dark to medium green non-magnetic, aphanitic with 1-3mm chlorite spots dotting the
matrix. Fracture-fill white calcium carbonate veinlets ^2mm) crosscutting at all angles

LITHOLOGY
Detailed Descriptionto core axis. Mainly swiried pyrite mineralization with carbonate but mainly associated
with hair thin fractures and carbonate veinlets. Most accumulation in siliceous brecciazone (64.85m-65.25m). Messy contact (weak flow brecciation) into next section.Note: 1899 is a check sample on mineralized contact - no mineralization above or
below.
QUARTZ DIORITE.Medium gray, fine-to medium-grained with 35-407a chloritized mafics, approximately
45"Xo plagioclase, approximately 70Xo interstitial quartz mixed with plagioclase andminor carbonate. Dark green fine-grained mafic volcanic xenoliths occur throughoutand get larger downsection. (Note: quartz most easily distinguished at end of
section (translucent gray-blue dots up to 4mm diameter)).
AMYGDALOIDAL 'ANDESITE1 MAFIC INTERMEDIATE.
Dark to medium green, non-magnetic, aphanitic with dark green to black chloritic spots(1-3mm) throughout. Individual pyrite crystals 1-2mm surrounded by carbonate halos
(amygdules) in central part of section. Patches of quartz diorite at beginning and endof section. One splash of chalcopyrite occurs at a cm-thick carbonate vein junction that
crosscuts quartz diorite near beginning of section. Outside of amygdules, section isfairly unfractured, therefore no chrysotile veinlets and stringers, therefore no swirled
pyrite mineralization.
QUARTZ DIORITE.
Gray with dark green chlorite spots (1-3mm) 35-40"Xo and scattered dark green
aphanitic mafic volcanic xenoliths. Very minor fracture-fill white carbonate veinlets(all angles to core axis) which do not contain pyrite and in an isolated incident containsa mm speck of chalcopyrite (82.80m). Blebby lower contact. (Xenolith at 83.32m-
83.78m contains 1.50X0 pyrite - isolated incident).
•ANDESITE1 MAFIC INTERMEDIATE (AMYGDULES, VESICULES).
Dark green, non-magnetic, aphanitic with calcite rimmed vesicules to calcite-filledamygdules dotted throughout. Weakly fractured with white carbonate hair thin veinletsS-7% throughout. Pyrite crystals associated with amygdules only.

LITHOLOGY
Detailed Description
GABBRO.Sharp contact into melanocratic medium-grained intrusive having 70"Xo chloritized
mafics as match head sized dots inundating the lithology. Semi-abrupt contact into a
fine-grained gabbro (or cooked mafic volcanic) which has a primary texture althoughminor fracturing (very few carbonate veinlets). Weakly visible chlorite specks (2-3mm
diameter) 7Vo. Incidental pyrite (second intrusive? 91.59m-93.48m).
SAUSERITIZED QUARTZ DIORITE.
Speckled dark green-black chloritized mafics (25"Xo) against a lime green sauseritizedplagioclase-rich, (and interstitial quartz) matrix. Plagioclase crystals easilydistinguishable. Very minor fractures yet very distinct cm-thick quartz-carbonate
veinlets (the only outstanding feature of this unit other than the lime green colour).Up to /"/o quartz, somewhat stripped appearance. Minor (O.50;4) very fine-to fine grained pyrite crystals. Isolated chalcopyrite occurring as mm specks in one quartz-carbonate vein (96.87m-96.88m). Vein is offset dextrally by 0.9cm. Cm-sized mafic
volcanic xenoliths.
•ANDESITE' MAFIC INTERMEDIATE (AMYGDULES) with QUARTZ DIORITE BLEBS.
Dark green-gray, non-magnetic, aphanitic amygdaloidal flow with patches of intrudingsauseritized quartz-diorite. Hair thin fracture-fill carbonate veinlets truncate both
lithologies. Within volcanic flow minor (up to 2"7o within 10cm interval) accumulations
of pyrite mineralization.
ACTINOLITIC GABBRO.
Green actinolite needles up to 4cm long (40"Xo of lithology is actinolite); no fracture,
nice primary texture. Trace pyrite.

chrysotile veins to veinlets •elmm-lcm (2Vo). Gradational contact from last section
into this one.
Broken core.
Aplitic dyke. Felsic with very fine-grained muscovite throughout. Sharp contact.
SERPENTINITE separated by spotted SERPENTINIZE PYROXENITE PHASES.
Black to dark green-black, non-magnetic, fine-to medium-grained, increase in green
chrysotile content overall. Locally sections of vari-textured gabbro, serpentinized
pyroxenite up to 2 metres thick, gradational contacts which are always in proximity
to serpentine veining. Local fine-grained pyrite.
Abundant chrysotile seams defining foliation leading to central serpentine crystals in
2cm thick vein.
Spotted serpentinized pyroxenite. Coarse-grained with relict pyroxenite crystals now
partially replaced by tremolite-actinolite. Trace very fine-grained pyrite.

LITHOLOGY
Detailed Description
Mostly broken core consisting of black fine-grained serpentinite separated by intervals
of spotted serpentinized pyroxenite.Blebs of a gray-beige, soft (scratched easily with knife) tremolitic gabbro phase with
easily distinguishable boundaries against the black fine-grained serpentinite. Non magnetic, weak fractured appearance, (this interval is less broken than surrounding
serpentinite). No pyrite.Dark green-black serpentinized pyroxenite. Tremolite (gray) along fractures. Trace
fine-grained pyrite, non-magnetic.
SERPENTINITE (SERPENTINIZED PERIDOTITE).
Black-green, coarse-grained with fibrous habit along fresh breaks. Crosscutting white75"yo and green 257o chrysotile veinlets (-^lO"/)) (locally symmetrical) and tiny grayseams tremolite (up to 100Xo) giving core a gray webbed overprint due to its abundance.
Very consolidated. Non-magnetic becoming magnetic downsection. Trace pyrite aswispy fine-grained specks, (no chalcopyrite or pyrrhotite). Local white calciumcarbonate veining. Blue-green variety of chrysotile apparent in magnetic section.Low angle (14") tension gash with minor calcium carbonate. Separates non-magnetic
(upsection) from magnetic section.Very fine-to medium-grained magnetite specks (approximately 3 0Xo) yet magneticoccurs as more prominent mm-thick bands of concentrated mineralization which is a
progression from scattered crystals to consolidated accumulations (into crude mm-thick bands) downsection. (Enough of section sampled for a thorough "check").
CUMULATE TEXTURED SERPENTINIZED PERIDOTITE.Less green and more black than last section progressing into well defined pervasive
white to beige seams (0. 5mm) of chrysotile replacing cumulative olivine. Lessconsolidated downsection with local broken core. Approximately 67e very fine-grained
magnetite. Trace fine-grained pyrite.Area of strongest and most prominent cumulate texture of chrysotile with a sky blue-
green variety.103.70m-105.20m: broken core.Transition area marked by FAULT GOUGE between serpentinized peridotite with
cumulate texture and fractured serpentinized peridotite.

LITHOLOGYDetailed Description
VARIOUS LITHOLIGICAL INTERVALS AMIDST FINE-GRAINED and BROKEN CORE.
Low angle (0-10" to core axis) white fracture-fill veinlets of chrysotile within black to
black-green fine-to medium-grained moderately magnetic serpentinized peridotite.
Mostly broken core consisting mainly of serpentinized peridotite with chrysotilefracture-fill veinlets and clusters of muddy GOUGE which give a light fizz with HCL.
Where definable, GOUGE appears to cut across lithology at 9".
Black moderately magnetic, weakly fractured serpentinized peridotite.
Apple green and black mix of serpentine after olivine and antigorite, moderately
magnetic.
SERPENTINIZED PYROXENITE.
Black, moderately magnetic, fine-to medium-grained with 1 -2 mm-sized black spots
of antigorite that have possibly replaced pyroxene crystals. Blue-green shimmer of chrysotile on all sides of core when broken, therefore groundmass likely consists ofa mix of antigorite and chrysotile although texture is one of black congealed spots.Fine-grained magnetite 307o throughtout (note: white carbonate-rich vein fizzed with
HCL only when scratched).Green waxy serpentine-chrysotilelantigorite fractured mixture with 2-3mm crosscutting
chrysotile (asbestos) veins.Area of crosscutting green waxy serpentinetchrysotile veins.
2cm thick chrysotile "asbestos" vein.

CASING.
FELDSPAR PORPHYRY.White euhedral 2-4mm plagioclase phenocrysts within a dark gray siliceous feldspathicgroundmass. Feldspar phenocrysts are zoned having a central 'dirty' beige-green coreand porcelain white exterior. Massive overall. Local fine-grained euhehedral pyrite(check samples). Non-magnetic.Phaze of gray soft (easily powders with knife) feldspathic material having mm black
mafics 3"Xo (some of which containing very tiny magnetite specks). Unit contains veryfine-grained scattered pyrite and chalcopyrite (trace). Check samples.Phenocrysts of feldspar much smaller than previous (mm) against a very dark graygroundmass. Siliceous contact into next section.
INTERMEDIATE INTRUSIVE.Gray overall with black anhedral 1-2mm mafic spots (2007o) in a soft (easily scratchedwith knife) feldspathic groundmass of medium-grained size. No quartz. (Mostcharacteristics display anintrusive in nature!). No fizz with HCL. A weak but pervasivetype of veining or seam is evident throughout, consisting of dark gray interior havingcrosscutting core axis between 25-35" (BND). Sharp contact into next section.
Non-magnetic.
FINE-GRAINED MAFIC PHAZE.Dark gray very fine-grained and relatively featureless. Homogeneous throughout
lacking magnetism. Appears black (chloritic on end of freshly broken core). Some what hard groundmass (quartz-feldspar±mafic). Veined contact.
WEAKLY SERPENTINIZED PYROXENE-PLAGIOCLASE GABBRO.
Medium green-gray, non-magnetic, fine-grained with relatively indistinguishable crystal
boundaries (which are interlocked or fused together in groundmass). Soft (easilyscratched with knife) matrix. White fracture-fill veins, some of which are calciumcarbonate, and chrysotile crosscutting at all angles to core. Trace very fine-grainedpyrite (check samples).Area of blebby seemingly antigoritic veins 3cm thick, fractured and crosscut by secon dary veinlets.

Completely serpentinized (green waxy) section with spots of chalcopyrite. Local very
faint foliation throughout.
FINE-GRAINED MAFIC.
Dark gray, homogeneous, aphanitic and non-magnetic with gray-green, weaklyserpentinized groundmass. Nonmineralized. Broken core of serpentinized gabbro?
leads into the section (similar in featureless character as is 16.35m-20.24m).
(Both sections oddball and conspicuous). White quartz vein with chalcopyrite specks
at one location.Ground core.
SERPENTINIZED PYROXENITE.
Green-black, locally weakly magnetic ^0.5"7o very fine-grained magnetite) with green-gray chrysotile±tremolite inundating (250Xo) matrix. Very fine-grained pyriteO.50/!). Black pyroxene crystals appear partially altered to tremolite. (Check samples).
Foliation defined by chrysotile stringers.Non-magnetic.
SERPENTINITE.
Green-black fine-to medium-grained with green-blue chrysotile stringers throughout -
locally defining a foliation. Change from locally magnetic to consistently magnetic.
Chrysotile veinlets become thicker and fibrous character very apparent.Area of minor slippage (weak faulting) with three parallel quartz veins.
Coarse-grained serpentinite alteration.Consistently magnetic downsection (4-5"Xo very fine-grained magnetite), thicker
chrysotile stringers and veinlets and white wispy chrysotile±tremolite spots (mm-size)
gradually increase.Coarse-grained with peripheral gray tremolite and green chrysotile stringers. Fairly hard (scratches faintly with knife). Overall coarse-grained tremolitelchrysotile-pyroxene-plagioclase gabbroic rock that has undergone a moderate degree of serpentinization.
Serpentinite with 4-5"7o very fine-grained magnetite.

Detailed Description
SERPENTINIZED PYROXENITE.
Black with minor green, coarse-grained, consistently strongly magnetic. Deep blue
chrysotile predominates. Random check samples.
Section of gray-green fibrous chrysotile veins and veinlets defining local foliation.
Jagged white chrysotile stringers at all angles to weakly fractured core - are hair thin
and look like random lightning streaks.
Weak foliation development leads up to minor area of slippage - inundated with
chrysotile veins 83.92m-83.97m with minor calcium carbonate.
SERPENTINIZED PERIDOTITE.
Semi-abrupt change into green and black mosaic (50/50) of green serpentine replacing
olivine and black pyroxenes dots to black sections of possibly antigorite with gray
tremolitet chrysotile veinlets crosscutting. Blue-green chrysotile veinlets (S-7%)
locally displays foliation. Fine-grained disseminated magnetite (3y0 ). Rare very
fine-grained pyrite speck.
Seemingly veined with green serpentine and blue chrysotile along an area of slippage.
Green serpentine (approximately 6507o), blue-green chrysotile (507o) with gray to black
mafic and/or tremolitic mix. Low angled (24 0 to core axis) blue chrysotile veins hosting
foliation in sampled area.

SERPENTINIZED PRYOXENITE.Black spotted mosaics of pyroxenes interwebbed by gray tremolite with green-blue
chrysotile stringers. Coarse-grained and weakly magnetic throughout entire section.Crosscutting veinlets ^mm to veins up to 3cm thick of green-blue chrysotileltremolite.1 .S-2% very fine-grained magnetite. Pyrite? Check samples only. A very subtle
crossalignment locally equals foliation.
Blue-gray chrysotile±tremolite fuzzy veins (no fizz with HCL) crosscutting at all anglesto core axis.
WEAKLY CARBONACEOUS SERPENTINIZED SECTION.Gradational contact into abundant (25Va) blue-gray chrysotilettremolitic wispyveinlets. Groundmass is predominantly light gray having green (40"7o) serpentine afterolivine and black (1507o) pyroxene crystals. Non-magnetic.
Broken and ground core.Soft (easily scratched with knife).
FELDSPAR PORPHYRY.Sharp contact into feldspar porphyry consisting of white anhedral to euhedral 2-4mmzoned plagioclase phenocryst^ and minor (5"Xo) black mafic specks ("d mm) against asmoky gray quartz-feldspathic groundmass (can't scratch with knife). Contact areaand section overall is nonmineralized. Rare pyrite.
Subtle weak foliation with groundmass slightly green and phenocrysts only 1-2mm in
size (70"7o) versus ^mm (257a).
FINE-GRAINED MAFIC PHAZE.
Sharp contact into dark gray to gray-green, non-magnetic, nonfoliated homogeneous
unit with white calcium carbonate jagged veinlets (4 07o) occurring locally in areas ofweak fracturing.
Minor very fine-grained pyrite and possibly pyrrhotite. Trace magnetite.Area of increased fracturing and subsequent fracture-fill veinlets of white calciumcarbonate. Main veining 28"-35 0 to core axis.

LITHOLOGY
Detailed Description
Area of medium-grained texture with dark gray mafic spots (2mm) (300Xo) throughout.
Weakly magnetic, approximately 1 070 very fine-grained magnetite. Trace pyrrhotite.
Low angle carbonate fracture-fill veining tchrysotile.
Patchy medium-grained areas consisting mainly of black pyrite crystals within serpen-
tinized±chrysotile±tremolite matrix. Non-magnetic. Trace pyrite.
SERPENTINIZED PYROXENITE (SERPENTINITE).
Dark gray tremolitelchrysotile groundmass with black-green serpentinized pyroxene
patches which appear partially replaced by tremolite±chrysotile. Mosaic style pattern
overall. Weakly magnetic becoming increasingly magnetic downsection.
Non-magnetic. Trace pyrite.
Weakly magnetic D.5% magnetite. Trace pyrite, pyrrhotite?
Moderately magnetic S-4% magnetite. Trace pyrite, pyrrhotite? very fine-grained sulfides.
Mostly broken core. Blue sheen from chrysotile observable on fracture surfaces.
Fine-grained, moderately magnetic, blue sheen from chrysotile all fracture surfaces.
Minor white carbonate veinlets defining weak to faint foliation.
White-green fibrous chrysotile veining (3mm-10mm thick).
95.02m-95.03m: massive magnetite band within green serpentine.
SERPENTINIZED PERIDOTITE.
Amidst low angle FAULT GOUGE area, semi-abrupt contact into deep green-black
(olivine-serpentine) 80"Xo with gray-blue-green chrysotile veinlets (defining local foliation)
and gray veined masses chrysotile and tremolite (20 070 ). Moderately magnetic
throughout (3-4 "7o magnetite) with magnetite stealing the show. Pyrite? Pyrrhotite?
Downsection variations in thickness and percentage of green serpentine bands, green-
blue chrysotile and gray chrysotilettremolite in core locally. Many areas have muddy
film on contacts yet cutting by drill bit easily muds up and injects debris in highly
chrysotile-rich areas. Locally chrysotile seams (discontinuous but penetrative) offer
a foliation, although locally veinlets of a different age generation crosscut core at all
angles. Technically section could be classified as serpentinite although a distinction
is made between olivine-serpentine and chrysotilet tremolite which has increased
significantly from last section.
