holders.
Permits users to study, change, improve and at
times also to distribute the software.
ADVANTAGES TO OPEN SOURCE

A lot of people have access to the
source code.
Free to all users.
Stability.
DISADVANTAGES TO OPEN SOURCE
Not all OSS initiatives have been successful.
Difficult to design a commercially sound
business model around the open source
paradigm.
Only technical requirements may be
satisfied.
WHERE CAN YOU GET IT?
Open source software (OSS) is
available at many different places.
