Online Collaboration and Course Management Site• OpenClass online classes are flexible spaces - a blank canvas

for delivering multi-media assignments, creating collaborative spaces and student upload and download of documents.

• We imagine teachers using OpenClass for something like this:

Upload a video recitation of the MLK’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” and requires students to write and upload a textual analysis of the letter, share with other students, engage in a threaded discussion or get comments and encouragement back from their teacher.

• Collaboration among students

• Course management and assignment delivery including embedding video (think: flipped classroom)

• Feedback to students

• Management, collection and organization of student work

• Differentiation for individuals and groups of students

Classes are controlled and customized by teachers
