� What is OpenEdge Management?
– It is a Progress OpenEdge tool that
provides the ability to monitor resources
and perform remote trending of data
collected.
� Why OpenEdge Management?
– Clients will gain access to Progress tools
by leveraging the HII/Progress relationship.

– It provides centralized monitoring of the
OpenEdge environment.
– Enables you to configure alerts to notify HII
of potential issues before they become a
concern.
– Allows customized views of the data
collected.
– Offers a graphical presentation of the
monitored resources.

� What can it monitor?
– It can monitor the availability and
performance of resources related to a
server and/or Progress OpenEdge
resources
– Alerts can be setup to monitor system
resources such as cpu utilization, memory
(virtual and physical), disk space and the
health of the database.

�There are two options of deploying OpenEdge Management:
– single host (local) - only local resources
are monitored and has its own trending
database
– HII host (remote) - resources are
monitored remotely using a single trending
database
