Personal Edition is the latest IP-based com-munication software that can be used inconnection with OpenScape Voice andHiPath communications systems. It is thesuccessor to optiClient 130 / 130 S and is

now available in a SIP and HFA variant.Personal Edition is ideal for all mobile andstationary applications, offering the optionof integrating corporate directories andpersonal call lists via LDAP. Rounded off bya highly sophisticated and intuitive userinterface, Personal Edition is a constantcompanion for customers who also need toreceive and make calls outside their officeenvironment.

With OpenScape Personal Edition, mobilePC users can avail themselves of the follow-ing functions in the field, at their homeoffice or on business trips:

Ideal solution for mobile workers regardless of location, users retain their

internal phone number. Take your directdial number with you and make calls asusual whether you are using the IP infra-structure in one of your companysbranches or dialing into a WLANhotspot. Your PC-based Personal Editionenhances the multifaceted implementa-tion options of your PC with communi-cation software that you can use tomake all calls from your personal exten-sion. You can use this function in theoffice or on the move.

By using the LDAP service, several cor-porate and personal directories can beintegrated into the Personal Edition.Even without connecting to the direc-tory server, your contact lists are alwaysto hand. Dialing via keypad, corporateaddress book, other LDAP addressbooks, call lists.

Main Toolbar (optional)

The main toolbar can be made visible and anchored to the top of the screen. You can access essential telephony functions via this toolbar,so only a small amount of space is required to operate a softclient.

Softphone

The softphone offers users telephony functions and access to function keys. It can be optionally displayed and placed in any position onthe screen.

Video Telephony (SIP)

When video telephony is used, the conversational partner's picture is displayed as well as your own picture. It is possible to integrate athird participant for small conferences. The video telephony features are available in the SIP-version of the Personal Edition in combinationwith OpenScape Voice and are offered within the normal SIP license.

You want to use your corporate phonebookon the move? No problem. The LDAP ser-vice allows you to simply integrate your

corporate directory into OpenScape Per-sonal Edition.

You can manage individual and personalcontacts in your contact directory.

A special contacts list can also include indi-vidual contacts from various directories.These can be grouped together accordingto a number of criteria.
