Instructions for the User This product includes powerful embedded computer hardware components and a combination of the X86 architecture. It is designed for operation under relatively harsh environments in areas of multimedia advertising, industrial automation / equipment / instrumentation / security / intelligence products and other areas, and waits among others. On with anti-vibration, anti-jamming and a wide input voltage range. The fine-tuned design meets the needs of all users and their applications for various conditions and occasions. This product is small in shape and easy to install. To ensure correct installation and efficient service, please read this manual carefully. Electric Security

• To avoid electrical shock and possible serious damage to the unit, temporarily disconnect the PC power adapter from the wall outlet before transporting the PC.

• To prevent voltage fluctuations from damaging your device and the vehicle battery, please turn the computer's power switch to the "Off" position during vehicle start.

• When the computer's power is set to "On," do not turn the computer power to the "Of" position until the computer is fully booted. When shutting down the computer, follow the guidelines in this manual.

• Make sure that the voltage setting is set to the standard voltage value of the place of use in which the product is used.

• There are no user-serviceable components in this unit. Allow only qualified personnel to perform maintenance or opening. Please contact our factory department. Unauthorized manipulations can result in the extinction of the product warranty.

Operational safety

• Before using this product, make sure that all external cables and power adapters are connected correctly. If you suspect any defects, please contact your dealer or factory staff immediately.

• To avoid an electrical short circuit, it is forbidden to leave metal parts in the PC mainframe.

• Dust, humidity, and extreme temperature fluctuations affect the life of this computer. Please keep the device away from these hazards.

• Although the computer is equipped with an anti-vibration mechanism, please avoid violent movement, jarring, or dropping of the unit.

• Please do not clean the appliance with chemical cleaners. Remove dust with a soft cloth to ensure the brightness. If technical problems occur during the use of this unit, please contact our service department. We correct every problem as soon as possible. Please refer to your warranty.

Suspended Installation When mounted to cabinet

• the two WLAN antennas and

• the metal frame has to be removed,

• external WLAN antennas has to be connected and

• 8-axle suspension parts as shown below has to be used.

VESA Installation Support interface with 100 mm arm pad is mounted according to the VESA standard.

LAN and WLAN LAN1 is used alternatively to WLAN in the following manner:

• LAN1 is used when LAN1 is enabled and the LAN1 network cable is connected.

• WLAN is used when WLAN is enabled and the LAN1 network cable is disconnected.

LAN2 can be used for a second network.

Integrated Browser After booting the iPC-1000, the integrated browser is started and the web page set under "aiBrowser Configuration" is displayed. The embedded browser's keyboard appears after a long press of the screen. The Webmin interface can be called up by touching the 4 corners of the screen clockwise starting at the bottom left.

Webmin After booting the iPC-1000, the integrated browser is started and the web page set under "aiBrowser Configuration" is displayed. The Webmin interface can be called either

• with the integrated browser or

• via a LAN connection with an external browser via the address ipc:10000 respectively. The Webmin login page is displayed:

Dashboard: Hostname and Software Version The iPC-1000 host name is displayed here. The 6 digits of the hostname are the last 6 digits of the LAN1 MAC address: Scroll down to see the iPC-1000 software version number. After 5 minutes of inactivity, an automatic logout is performed and you must log on again.

Factory Default Configuration The factory default configuration is as follows: Browser-URL: www.aitronic.de LAN1: DHCP LAN2: Static IP 192.168.210.1 WLAN: DHCP Following file contains these factory default settings /home/ipc/factory-config.tar.gz

and can be loaded from the page „Backup Configuration Files“: After selecting the file and clicking "Restore Now", all parameters are reset to Factory Default.

Software Update with aitronic File Manager Click „Others“ in the menu, then „aitronic File Manager“. It will be shown: Please follow these steps:

• Select folder (USB stick under media folder).

• Select and select the software update file.

• The menu item Tools → Update installs the selected file.

Safety Guidelines 1) Carefully read the safety instructions and heed all cautions and warnings

indicated on the device and manual.

2) Keep this manual for reference.

3) Keep this equipment away from humid environment.

4) Chassis slot opening for ventilation inside the chassis components to avoid overheating: Do not cover up these openings or blockage.

5) Before connecting the device to the power supply, make sure that the appropriate voltage.

6) Route the power cable so that nobody can trip over it and do not stack anything on the power line.

7) The device should have good grounding to avoid electrostatic damage. Disconnect from the mains before installing, otherwise the motherboard may be damaged.

8) To prevent damage to components on the motherboard due to static electricity, the motherboard should be touched only with a static wrist strap or after contact with metal.

9) Keep the motherboard on the edges during the entire motherboard installation. Do not touch the electronic components.

10) Before plug or unplug any expansion cards or memory modules, please unplug the power cord from the power socket.

11) Never pour any liquid from the injection openings or it will cause serious damage or even cause an electrical shock.

12) If the following occured please find the technical service personnel to deal with:

− Power cord or plug is damaged.

− Liquid penetration inside the device.

− Equipment exposed to a humid environment.

− Equipment is not working properly, or the user can not use it to work in accordance with the guidance manual.

− Device is dropped or hit, there are obvious signs of damage. Note: Due to constant effort to improve products and product features,

specifications may change without notice.
