OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
A small shoe box
can teach a child
about the love of
God. We will be filling shoe boxes for boys and girls to be sent around the world for Christmas. Boxes will be available in the Children’s Building with info. Last day to return boxes will be Wednesday, November 19. Children will do their parade on November 23, during the 11:00 service.
Dear Fisherville Family,
The Bible tells us, "in everything give thanks". So, I would like to put a positive spin on our last business meeting and give thanks.
First, I would like to thank our people for turning out so well and showing an interest in the Lord’s work.
Second, I would like to thank Tony Bond for the excellent presentation from the building oversight committee, and the patient and Christ-like manner in which he presented it.
Third, I would like to thank the people for all wanting the same thing, that the Lord’s Will be done and Christian harmony be maintained.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank God that He has the answer. Remember God's telephone number, (Jer. 33:3), "Call unto Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know."
God Bless,
Bro. Jack
No-Miss November
My oldest brother, Sam (for whom some of
you have been praying, and by the way
he is doing very well, thank you) recently
re-discovered the Sunday School pin which
he received as a child for eleven years of
perfect attendance in Sunday School. It
made me think, “Why don’t we give out
pins anymore?”
Let’s try “NO-MISS NOVEMBER.” I don’t
have pins to give out, but you can sure
count on a blessing for perfect attendance
in Sunday School for the month of
November.
Our September Sunday School Open
House was at times confusing, sometimes
challenging, but each week a blessing.
Our average on-site attendance this year,
during our “September Open House” was
421 folks in Sunday School. Our average
on-site attendance during the month of
September 2013 was 376. That means
that about 45 more people were coming
together each Sunday to study God’s
Word, pray and share in the presence of
God with other brothers and sisters in
Christ. Praise the Lord!
So, let’s go for “No-Miss November” and
share together in what the Lord is doing
each week!
May our Lord Jesus bless you and keep
you…
Gary Redding
Please be in prayer for how much you are
able to give this year to the Lottie Moon
Christmas Offering. Our church goal this year
is $20,000.

SENIOR SAINTS MINISTRY
Bongiorno! Greetings! and Grazi! Thank you! I’m now home now from a life-changing experience to Italy (Napoli, Roma, Firenze - aka Naples, Rome and Florence) with my fellow ministers of music, instrumentalists and ministry friends. I have returned, as I said last month, but I have been changed forever. I came home humbled and inspired. God is at work around the world. My horizons were broadened, my heart made more aware of His hand and my territory enlarged. Grateful thanks to you, First Baptist Church Fisherville, our Missions Committee and several others, who made it possible for me to go.
I hit the ground running...as one of our Italy trippers and friend, Kevin Hamilton said, “I am on the ground in Nashville; now if someone will just pick me up, I’ll get home.” November is upon us. I will be in Nashville for the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and we have the Senior Adult Rally (see poster and bulletin board). In December, yes, it’s almost Christmas, our Children’s Music will be presented on Sunday evening, December 7th and our Celebration Choir music will be presented on Sunday evening, December 14th. The Dinner Theater plans have changed, so we’ve tabled that for next year, hopefully!
