Extensive Security and Access Controls

The features listed below are dependent on how user access and visibility are configured by super users or administrators.

Security can be individual, group or role based and can range from high level menu options to field level within a form.

Fields can have mandatory drop down selection options for input and can be hidden if required, which results in quick and easy retrieval of

data items fast: as you type, suggestions will appear that match your query. This means quick and easy retrieval of data.

Extensive on Screen Enquiry Options

Enquiry selection options can be pre-defined at implementation, or user defined as required. Fields can be added, subtracted, multiplied or formula applied to combine results.

Multiple drill enquiries retain a tracking record, so it is possible to compare

details on different contracts at various drill down levels. Data can be defined on an ad hoc basis, saved at any time or dropped straight in to Excel without any need for manual formatting.

Summit screens can be configured to present data in either traditional tabular views or graphically. Whichever view is displayed, all data can be drilled down to transaction level.

Many other software packages have a separate software layer that provides the Web interface which adds overhead to managing your software. Summit has a Web Client inbuilt into the application which has the same functionality as the desktop client. Therefore, should any changes be made to the input forms using the Summit database module, these would be replicated in the Web Client automatically. Any user can choose to use the Web or Desktop Client as a matter of personal preference or as dictated by your Company policy.

Database Module

This powerful module gives the customer, with the right security level, full control over the look and feel of the forms within the software. Fields can be amended to suit Company preferred descriptions or added for additional record keeping or deleted for simplifying look and feel of data input forms such as Subcontractor Ledger data or Payroll information. Data fields can be made mandatory for input or drop down boxes can be added for selection to achieve consistent record keeping.

Easy Reporting

In addition to the straight forward enquiry formatter being used to arrange information on screen, the data can also be presented using Crystal Reports or integrated to Excel using RedSky’s Excel Add-in. This allows Excel cells to be linked direct to fields in the Summit system, whilst still incorporating the systems security controls.

Easy Input

Summit allows input operators the ability to key data in quickly and efficiently by using the keypad rather than relying on the mouse.

Reporting

Whether your role is operational and project based or within the central financial team, easy access to and analysis of business data is key to effective control.

Summit is developed using the world’s leading database platforms; Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server - these are secure, scalable, reliable and powerful databases.

Summit offers a range of enquiry tools to satisfy every level of user. It can provide a simple Web based enquiry on contract performance for operational teams through to highly configurable industry standard reporting tools for detailed corporate financial analysis.

Summit ensures you can report against internal & external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). It is even possible to configure reports and forms to meet each client’s needs.

Project Folders

A Web based landing point for those involved in each project. It is possible to link contacts, create new documents (using built in templates), attach and view MSOffice documents/drawings/pdfs, and drill down on financial enquiries.

Email Archiving

This module is able to act as an integrated part of your e-mail infrastructure. Mail can be classified and attached to the correct project or related contact record. Responses to e-mails issued from the

Contact Management Modules are automatically linked to the original e-mail. This allows the complete history of correspondence with a contact to be maintained. This module can be used as part of your compliance strategy for holding a complete e-mail history.

Contacts Management (CRM)

The contacts management module integrates with the project document storage to provide a single point of access to information about the project. All the suppliers, subcontractors, internal and customer contacts on the project can be defined or referenced from the database. Any interaction with those contacts is then recorded; the interaction may be sending a letter in which case the system can automatically “mail merge” a template document with the contact information.

On Line Forms

This module allows Company forms to be set up and data captured electronically. Any form can be analysed as the captured information is held as data within Summit. This is ideal for Health & Safety, PPE, Accident/Incident and HR forms. Customers can use tablets or any smart devices that use standard Web browsers such as IE, Firefox, Chrome or Safari to record the data on their forms.
