THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TOTHESE PRODUCTS OR TO ANY PART THEREOFWHICH HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO ACCIDENT,NEGLIGENCE, ALTERATION, ABUSE OR MISUSE.

Model 100SP TopdresserLIMITED WARRANTY

Earth & Turf Products, LLC warrants to theoriginal Purchaser, all Earth & Turf products,manufactured by it, to be free from defects in bothmaterial and workmanship under normal use andservice.

Earth & Turf Products, LLC obligation underthis Warranty shall be limited to replacement or repairof any parts thereof, free of charge to the originalPurchaser, at its place of business, provided,however, that the part(s) to be replaced or repaired,shall within 1 year after delivery to the originalPurchaser, be demonstrated to be defective: whichdetermination shall be made by Company.

The said components or parts must be returnedthrough the Selling dealer or distributor directly to theCompany with all transportation charges prepaid.

Notice of defects shall be furnished in writing tothe Seller and to the agent through whom themachinery was received, disclosing in full all knowndefects and failure in operation and use, andreasonable time shall be given to the Seller toremedy any such defects and failures.

Failure to make such trial or to give such noticeshall be deemed an absolute acceptance by theBuyer and satisfaction in full of this Limited Warranty.

Under no circumstances does this warrantycover normal wear of any parts, components ormaterial which, in the opinion of the Seller and theCompany, have been subjected to neglect, misuse,alteration, accident, or if repaired, with parts otherthan those manufactured by and obtained from Earth& Turf Products, LLC.

This Warranty does not cover componentswhich are already covered by a separate Warrantyprovided by the supplier of said parts or components.

Earth & Turf Products, LLC’s obligation underthis Warranty is limited to repair or replacement, freeof charge to the original Purchaser, of any part whichin the judgement of the Company is defective.

C The Company makes no warranty whatsoever inrespect to accessories or parts not supplied by theCompany.

• The term “original Purchaser”, as used in thisWarranty, shall be deemed to mean that person for whomthe product is originally supplied.

C The Company, under this Warranty, cannotguarantee that existing conditions beyond its control willnot affect its ability to obtain materials or manufacturenecessary replacement parts.

C The Company reserves the right to make designchanges, or specifications at anytime, without anycontingent obligation on its parts to purchasers ofmachines and parts previously sold.

No one is authorized to alter, modify or change theterms of this Warranty in any manner.

C The Company warrants the Construction of theequipment sold herein and will replace it at its expense fora period of one year from the date hereof, any parts whichprove defective as determined under the terms of thisLimited Warranty.

C This Warranty shall apply only within the boundariesof the continental United States.

MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION!!!OOperator must read before using unit.

1 KEEP HANDS AWAY from any moving parts of thespreader during operations.

2 NEVER run spreader unless all guards aresecurely tightened in proper position.

3 NEVER repair any parts or make any adjustmentswhile machine is in motion.

4 NEVER wear loose clothing around any movingparts of the machine.

5 NEVER allow anyone to ride spreader.

!!!!Failure to heed the above warnings may result inpersonal injury or death.

1 Entire Unit must be washed thoroughly after each use. Never store material in spreader.

2 Maintain proper air pressure in tires to insure properoperation.

3 Periodically check and repack wheel bearings usingstandard wheel bearing grease. Maintenance level - twiceduring seasonal use.

4 Drive Chain requires graphite lubrication.

5 Be Sure all shields are in place before operating the unit.

6 Check Engine Oil. The oil should be up to the “full” lineon the oil dipstick. The engine uses 10W30 motor oil.

7 Check Hydrostatic Reservoir Oil Level.

The reservoir is locatedunder the machine at therear.

Oil level in the reservoirshould be up to the “full”line. The hydrostatictransmission uses SAE10W30 oil.

8 Conveyer Belt Adjustment is easily made by a singleadjustment bolt on the left and right sides of themachine. First, loosen the jam nut and begin tighteningthe adjustment bolts. The belt should have some “play”in it. Each side should be adjusted the same, with thesame distance between the bolt head and the front ofthe adjustment block. Having the adjustment equal onboth sides is critical for proper belt tracking andacceptable service life of the belt.

OPERATION

9 Brush Chain Tightness is adjusted by loosening the idlersprocket on the lower right side of the machine (viewedfrom behind the unit). Push the idler forward to tighten thechain, then re-tighten the idler bolt.

10 Tightening the Conveyer Belt Drive Chain is done byloosening the bolt that holds the chain idler (on the leftside when viewed from behind the machine), then re-tightening the idler sprocket bolt.

11 Brush Adjustment - The brush can be adjusted byloosening the nuts on the brush slide (one on each side ofthe unit). Push down on the brush assembly until thebrush makes light contact with the conveyor belt,

12 Drive Clutch Service - To access the overriding driveclutch, remove the four bolts from the back cover andremove the cover. This gives access to the clutch shouldrepairs ever be necessary.

1 Engine On/Off Switch - After completing all necessarymaintenance and making sure the fuel tank is full, startthe engine by first positioning the toggle switch in the“on” position.

2 Place the Throttle Lever in the “choke” position and pullthe starting rope, which is located just below the throttlecontrol. When the engine starts, move the throttle leverback to the “fast” position.

3 Release the Parking Brake by moving the leverbackwards to the “off” position.

4 Engage the Hydrostatic Transmission by pulling theengagement lever forward. To permit free movement,should it be necessary to push the unit without the enginerunning, be sure to disengage the transmission bypushing this lever forward.

5 Forward/Reverse - To move the unit forward, push downon the steering handle. To steer the unit, simply move thishandle from right to left, depending on the direction inwhich you wish to travel. To move in reverse, lift up on thehandle and steer in the same manner.

6 Ready to Spread - When you are ready to spread, youmust engage the topdresser engagement leverrearward. To disengage the belt and brush, pull the leverforward. The topdresser will only spread when movingforward. The unit is designed this way so you cannotdouble-spread when backing into tight areas.
