So whether you've got the moves like Jagger, fancy yourself as the next

Jamie Oliver, are handy with hand tools or know your perm from your

peroxide, we want you to show us what you can do!

We are still taking nominations for Talent Factory 2012, giving you the opportunity

to showcase your skills and talents and show the world that Brighton and Hove’s

young people do have talent!

We are looking for ten individuals to take part, creating ten short films all about you

and what you have to offer an employer. We would like our nominees to talk about

what being unemployed has been like, and to demonstrate their talent, passion or

skill.

The films will then be promoted through all our social media channels, leading to a

film premier and celebration event showing the city’s employers the talent that our

city’s young people have to offer in the workplace.

We want to help young people to gain recognition for their talents and to help

employers look past what’s written on a CV.

Become an Apprentice! As employees, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain skills. Apprentices also receive valuable training to work towards nationally

recognised qualifications. The minimum salary is £2.65 per hour however, apprentices can earn significantly more. There may be different entry requirements depending on the apprenticeship and the industry sector. Competition for places can be fierce so you will need to show you are committed.

This practical 30 week course is music based and is ideal for relative beginners in music playing and music production, as well as more experienced musicians who are keen to

take their learning further. It also supports the development of personal and social skills, including functional skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT.

Students will benefit from ATM’s national and local enrichment programmes, as well as

Do you want to learn how to run your own business?

Join ‘The Biz’ and learn how to run your own social enterprise: � Restoring furniture

� Printing and selling cards, bags and t-shirts � Repairing and selling bikes

� Gain qualifications in creative craft, enterprise skills, progression award (CVs, job skills and team-building), maths and English.

You can gain experience of running a business, work experience and qualifications.

�Travel costs will be paid along with a weekly allowance of up to £20�

confidence to apply for work, training or a full-time course at college.
